They're chocolate cookies and I can't relate to the posted content, so I can't complain.

I fear I'll break my Playstation every time it freezes and I'm left with nothing to do but unplug it.

That makes it worst, just turn it off with the button. If you just shut it off like that it'll corrupt some data. It happened to me before and I had to reboot everything. If it keeps doing that then there's something wrong or corrupted. inb4 no ****

When it freezes the power button isn't an option though.

They only games I can really unfreeze are ps1 games, and that's with an eject and inject....inject? Is that the term for putting in a disc?
User avatar #265 to #208 - cophersans (04/27/2013) [-]
You can press the button long enough to make it hard boot, I think..
User avatar #266 to #265 - codyxvasco (04/27/2013) [-]
It's not like it beeps at me telling me it's not working, it's totally unresponsive. And I think Ps3's with touch buttons wouldn't hard boot from holding, mine might though, I'll give it a shot next time.

nearly 6 years of service. your xbox fought the good fight and now it is time for it to move on to a better place. A place where there is unlimited memory space, fast internet speed while playing with other xbox just like it..

My xbox was from the first year they came out.
Never got red ring. You know what killed it?
Mother ******* lightning strike.
I was in my room when it happened too. Bout as close to a viking funeral as it could get.
Rest in peace, sweet prince

not necessarily, and that doesn't really treat the problem, only the symptoms.

When I was 5, my best friend fell off his bike and damaged his pancreas. As a get-well-soon gift from some relative or other, he got a 64.
Before I saw it, I didn't even know video games existed; I remember watching him chunk his brand-new Super Smash Bros cartridge into the 64 with no clue of what to expect. I chose Kirby and just constantly mashed A, much to my mate's irritation. Much to my irritation, I lost that match.
Every problem either of us have ever had has been discussed in front of the 64; deaths, school, girls, pets, breakups. The day he told me he was gay, we were battling at Hyrule Castle. The day my dog died of blood cancer, we were negotiating the Water Temple. It's not just a console to us. It's a representation of our childhood and our enduring friendship.

14 years on and we still play 64 every Saturday afternoon, and that ************ still runs as sweet as the day he first booted it up. Sometimes I imagine us as old men, playing Smash as we sadly contemplate the world we'll soon be leaving.

I know that's pretty unlikely, but I don't know what I'll do when the old girl finally runs out of steam.

Guess I'm just unlucky is all, but from what I hear, staying as a computer gamer was a good idea seeing as people seem to complain about the xbox community alot.
User avatar #65 to #64 - contradiction (04/27/2013) [-]
if you bought the 360 went it just came out then that was probably your problem, i got mine a year or two after release because of all the negativity surrounding it.
i'm switching to computer and not bothering with the new consoles. the Xbox community is fine. it all depends what game you play.
User avatar #75 to #62 - lesrin ONLINE (04/27/2013) [-]
wait, you bought a xbox? it got red rings... and you didnt say **** and just buy another one? good sir you give me faith in humanity

i've had mine basically since the day the xbox 360 was released. not one this has broken on or in it. it's really not that hard, although i do keep it in a well ventilated part of the house that is almost always below 20 degrees Celsius, cause it's under ground. but still, about 8 years-ish.

I remember the day my old white xbox died and I had to get the black one. The black one sucks, those ******* motion sensor buttons have caused more problems than you'd think and it freezes and lags more than the old one.

I had that little bastard for 5-6 years. We played Borderlands together, we played Halo 3 on launch day, we defeated Jack of Blades like, 5 times. May you play forever in the digital afterlife, dear friend.
