When Gears 3 came out I saw a guy playing online named "Dom Dies"

Did anyone actually cry?
I did.

Mfw when getting to this part of the game

I got to that part of the game and I saw Dom take off in that truck. My first thought was 'What the hell is he doing?' As Marcus was wondering what Dom was up to, he turnt the truck around at the end of the tunnel and hit it on full gear.
At that point I just though that he was going to save them and get away, but he started talking to his wife and then Marcus asked him "Dom What the hell are you doing !?"
The sheer terror just ran across my body as Dom said "Never though it would end like this huh Maria ?"
And then Mad World started playing; he hit the building and the slow-mo explosions occured, with Marcus and the girls rolling over to save themselves.
I stood up with my controller in my hand and I grabbed my head.
Tears came down as I just stood there listening to Mad World combined with the reality of it all.

Marcus just lost his friend; his brother

On the topic of feels from Gears of War, did anybody ever check out Clayton Carmine's tattoo?

This is the only game that I have ever cried to. And to top it all off, they play the saddest goddamn song ever.

When i got to this scene i cried

It takes a lot of work to make you feel emotionally attached to a character; when you feel sadness when a character dies, you know the creators did a good job on them.

RIP Dom, you will be remembered.

Both this scene and the Gears 2 scene where he shot Maria almost made me cry.

...Just looked up the cut scene...God damn I cried even though i had no connection to the game...like a baby...

completely ruined the moment for me
Still pretty sad though

I'd say one of the saddest video game deaths for me was John Marston... I'm getting choked up just thinking about it :(
The man with through so much to get his family back only to end up being killed when he finally does :(

This part made me feel soooooo much

Not many games could do that, but Gears 3 did a great job of humanizing the characters.
