I have been down your road man, not quite as deep as you, but i know the emotions that come with it. I liked that girl for months before telling her, and that walk was the most humiliating moment in my whole life, but i got over it.

Like finishhimlarry said, cut her loose, as long as you hold on you will be reminded. It took the good part of 5 months, but i was madly in love with that girl. She occupied every moment of free thought that i had, and i couldn't even make eye contact with her without forgetting how to speak English, but the feelings faded for me, and they will fade for you as long as you don't try and revive them.
