These sterotypes are the reason why there is such disdain for each other. Humans, in general, have difficulty understanding that while people may have similarities to another, they are still a different person.

I go to a grammar school and this kind of stuf isn't that rare. Some kids take teachers/authority disciplining them as a challenge and try to show they do what they want. She probably stopped them doing something recently and they had the reaction i described.
