"Being sad" =/= depression.

Having no motivation to do anything, because you cannot fathom the idea of anything good coming your way,

Literally having to hold yourself up the entire day, to keep from just rolling over and dying,

Not even trying to tell yourself that you'll get over it anymore, because you know the last time you thought you finally decided to kick this thing, it didn't work. Same with the other 5 times,

That's depression. I'm no longer depressed, but this picture is really goddamn accurate. It starts with feeling sad, having a bad day, and it builds. And it eats away at you. And anyone who tries to talk shit about someone that is depressed is an asshole and a retard.

I know it's not just an excuse, because I used to have it, and with help from people that care about me, I got past it.

It's not just that you don't have any motivation, it's that you just can't see any point in trying anymore. Essentially you've given up on life because you think you have failed at it entirely.

I never noticed it because i thought this is how everybody is living , i never understood how ppl can be happy because of nothing, it is as if " a jewish or a muslim who never tasted bacon, and will never give it a try, they'll never know what they're missing and will never think about it's lack as a problem"
