i saw a great coomment on death a couple days ago "I like to imagine death as more of a mother-figure. Truly. His job is to guide people to the afterlife, right? Well what happens when you die? You go to a cold, dark place. You are scared and alone and confused and don't know what to do; and then you hear a soothing voice, a man carrying a lamp and a clock comes fourth and tells you it will be okay, and that he will help you no matter what. And he listens to your stories and laughs with you and cries with you, and asks if you want to take his hand as you walk. He has endless compassion and patience, but still resolves to his duty to guide.
Perhaps that is why there are ghosts too, as he listens to your story as you tell him how much work you have left to do and what you HAVE to do before you can truly find peace, and he understands and leaves you his lamp, telling you to call anytime you want to go.
I think that thought is rather nice"

I just got the image of death putting every chair in the universe on a table. Stopping for a moment after the millionth or so, sighing and continuing on.
