ok, i mean to say women can be sharpshooters, but they can't be infantry in the US army. that was apparently changed recently. women have just as much potential and ability to be a great shot as any man. if you can pass the SAME test a man has to take, you are welcome to be infantry in my book.

Oddly enough, the best shot that I know is a female... a close friend of mine, in fact. I'm considered the best shot among my group of friends, but that's only because she doesn't go out hunting with us. She's a much better shot than I am, and I've seen her pull off things like form a perfect square with 8 shots on a target from about 50 meters away.

They are in America now as they should be. As i have heard several women in the army(some in person) say, they are out there anyways, sometimes filling in the roles in infantry as needed but instead of having the opportunity to move up ranks they won't get credit for fighting with their weapons or filling infantry rolls cause it was not "allowed" for them to do in the first place. I say if a women wants to take on an infantry roll, let em but only after they pass the same standards that are set for the men.

i do know a little about history. For instance, the first female 4-star general was appointed in 2008 in the Army, the first woman to receive a silver star for combat action was in 2005, first female lt. general in the airforce in 1999, 1993 saw the first naval deployment with active female shipmates, 1978, costgard allows women.. i can go on? i happen to know a lot about this, studied it in HS for a paper on 'equality.' what i didn't know was that women were now allowed. and you didn't say you were a rusky.
