When she contacted you after all those years, you should never have opened that door. No matter what she said, you should have responded with "You made your choice, now live with it."
Come on man, after all that ******** she put you through you finally had the upper hand and you blew it.

Don't even waste your time dude. She'll never be with you, (not implying you're not worthy, just that she's a codependent nut case) and even if she would, it wouldn't be worth all the baggage that she'd come with.

Forget about her, dude. Move on to greener pastures. Quit being so beta. Don't make yourself so available. If you wanna not be in the friendzone for the rest of your life, quit filling the friend role in the lives of women.

the way I look at it, she doesn't want you to save her. she only want you as a witness... yea some people do that... I don't know why, but I guess they like it because the feeling is somewhat mutual like for instance, sacrificing yourself to save others and no one knows about it but a single person.. you sir might be that one person. do you know what I mean? I've been in your place before.

I ended up leaving her. she's fine now, something happened and she finally snaps out of it... maybe if you really want to help her, what you want to do first is discard all the feelings you have for her, help her as a friend... not as someone who you'll look forward to being with. that way you'll have the chance to save her and because you have no feelings for her (you're only doing it for her as a friend) if anything happen, she won't be able to hurt you. it won't be easy but maybe that's what I would do... I'll move on and help her as a friend instead.

Leave, its hard, but she will never see hes not good for her, she in an infinite regression and will only drag you down, please my friend, move on, she is not for you, hard to hear, but will never be, do you want a girl that naive and not smart enough to see that a man like you who really loves her is her best choice, NO! you want a strong independent woman who know you treat her good and loves it.

Focus on improving your life. Get exercise, and plenty of it. Be social, but don't ever expect anything of anyone you meet -- especially women you're attracted to. Make friends, do good things for people, and take your time about building relationships. Life is an anomaly of the universe as far as I can tell, so you'd be better off not taking it for granted. We can't always get the things (people) we want, but there are alternatives (Sometimes the alternatives are better anyway, we just don't realize it.)

I know this is Anon speaking, but I really don't feel like logging in just to mention this neutral statement.

Do you like reading semi-classical literature? This is the EXACT TO THE DOT plotline of "Tess of the D'Urbervilles" if you were at all interested.

As for any advice...move on?
