Actually, arrows were surprisingly deadly. They left behind infected arrowheads, meaning that even if you did pull it out, you risked making the wound worse. With smaug's case, the arrow managed to get between two scales, basically, an improbable chance so small, that it is almost a deus ex machina.

Actually you can cancel it by pressing the x that should be next to whatever deals you requested or have been requested.
