There's a difference between a fear of something and an irrational fear of something.
Being afraid to hang off the edge of a 100 foot cliff is reasonable.
Being afraid to go to the top floor of a skyscraper, just because it's really high up is irrational.
This isn't fucking complicated.

trypophobia-the "irrational" fear of holes in the body or just holes, idk. that shit looks weird. whatever you do, dont google search images of trypophobic skin. Some are shopped for humorous purposes, but still morbid as fuck
The phobia itself isn't irrational. The way they deal with it is. A phobia is only a phobia when you act irrational in a situation presented with the phobia. Anyone who is casually frightened by said phobia is just scared, not phobic.

Ok, I have a serious question
Is there a phobia of black people?

Fear of heights becomes irrational when someone doesn't want to sit on a couch because it's too high.
Fear of spiders becomes irrational when someone has their home specially built to prevent spiders from getting in.
Basically, it'd be when when the person does irrational and crazy things to avoid something.

I know OP didn't make this, but what's his thought on erotophobia? Is that one irrational?
