3 has way better backing.
Every single loacation as backing and storyline.
in NV they were just like "Hey lets put some pretty buildings over here and out some guns and bad guys in there, PEW PEW"

In terms of gameplay I liked NV so much more, I know there were partners in 3, but the way they went about it NV was amazingly better, aswell as factions, factions made it fun because each had a story line and sometimes you had to "balance spinning plates" in order to get what you wanted. And by "backing" do you mean "lore"? Cause NV had tons of lore, but it wasn't handed to you because that wasn't the main point of the game, you had to go out and find it. Another thing is the 4 main (not to a TON of side) endings weren't depended on how bad or good you were, they were based on other choices you made, or if you even we're eligible to do that thing in the first place.

Fallout 4 is going to be the new engine, and hopefilly in San Diego so it will be a more local NCR kind of thing. I imagine you could choose to brin down the NCR and their greed for land, or to help them. I also hope there's a hawaiian DLC.

Yeah I heard about the new engine, which is gonna be sweet cause it's Skyrim's engine right? If so then I can't wait to see how much they'll fit into the game, and as long as they keep the Companion Wheel, Factions (or yknow, sides without Karma), and Iron Sights I'll be happy.

There's no going back from iron sights. and yeah they stopped using Havok, which they should've done a long time ago like everyone else. I sincerely hope there's not a Mexico DLC, because it won't look any different than it did before the war.

That's one thing I liked that they tried to step away from in NV, all the desert and tiny towns, sure there we're a lot in NV, but Freeside, The Strip, and all the faction areas we're amazingly populated with tons of people to take to and things to do. I hope they try to a more populated game in #4, I'm getting tired of desert.

this worked for me.

I had the same problem as well, googled it and found a simple solution on yahoo answers. The solution was that I had to open up a file in notepad and change some numbers but I don't remember which ones. I tried googling some more but I can't seem to find the same question.
