Had a small DDOS. We're back now after I nulled some IPs.

So, I was wondering on trying out either Fallout 3 or New Vegas (tried New Vegas once, but with crappy PC, at 10fps on lowest); so does anyone have a recommendation of which one I should...get/try out?

They're different. F3 is post-apocalyptia, everything is ****** up and people are just trying to survive. NV is post-post-apocalyptia, where society is starting to be rebuilt, and there's actual civilization. Fallout 3 is much more gritty in my opinion, while New Vegas is more light. NV has more options such as gambling and modding (disregard the modifications part if you're playing it on PC)

Major differences are: greenish brown vs yellowish brown, NV has some new features (guns/ clothes don´t lose performance right away, proper iron sights, companion commands, weapons mods, more crafting etc), NV story generally has more options. Objectively speaking, the mechanics and gameplay of NV are better.

I think I prefer Fallout 3 because exploration was more fun IMO. In NV basically everything that isn´t a hub location is just desert, 3 has some buildings here and there (D.C. and the subway network were really cool).

Most would probably recomend 3, but presonaly I find New Vegas more fun. Might be the fact that it's more out in the open, and I like that. But the games are more or less the same, exept the location and story.

Also aming is a bit different. In NV you have the option to aim down the sight of the gun, while in Fallout 3 you have it locked at "just zooming in". There are a few other things that are better in either of the games, but you will have to see for yourself.

I see, I was seeing my friend play FO3 and saw that aiming 'problem'. And when I played NV I thought that the weapons were very weak in some way, they felt like I was carrying a bazooka but was shooting with a pea gun. I was wondering on FO3 and NV because I never played FO3, just saw a friend play it.

So exploration wise and fun which would be a good choice? (dont have much time to play both)

If you only have time for one I would recomend NV if you just want a great game to play. There are a few references to previous games you won't get, but you won't miss anything major.

In other words: Take the time to play both, FO3 first. But if you have to chose one, go for NV.
