Looks like an ordinary list of achievements, right? Ok then.
Take a closer look at the first ones. Like literally the first one.

All right, now in case you haven't played the game yet, the first achievement is unlocked once you leave the vault, as you do in the previous games.

So what I'm reading is that 87.6% of players have left the vault (aka people have started the game).
Now that means there's a 12.4% of players who HAVEN'T LEFT THE VAULT YET.
I could assume that thousands (maybe millions) of people haven't started the game, or have just stayed in the vault up until now. So what the **** is going on???
Have they gotten cosy underground? Do they find the outside unbearable? I don't know.

Its an odd little fact, but a curious one at that.
So far I'm enjoying the wasteland, you lot should to.

Also friend me ...for nuclear reasons.

Probably 12.4% of people tried to start the game and realized their computers couldn't handle it.

it's the same in the witcher on ps4 (havent checked FO4) so what explanation do you have for that?

Oh man, it's even better in Payday 2.

The first achievement here is for putting on your mask for the first time, the first thing you do when you start up a heist. So by this, we know that 36% of people who own Payday 2 haven't gotten past the title screen.
If you go down a bit, you notice that only half the people who play have gotten past level five. It's hilarious.

I have no friends to play it with, and when I tried playing single player I ended up not liking the bots. So I got bored, and quit before hitting even level 2. got the mask achievement though.

That's probably what happened to a lot of people. The bots suck and the community isn't very nice to new players.

Honestly I think it's because the game is always on sale. Even now it's $5 again. People just buy it and then never play it.

Still a great game. Solid 9/10. It only losses a point for the toxic community. If you have a gaggle of gay ass friends to play with, it's totally worth it.

I bought the game for my computer, it can play elder scrolls online and skyrim at high settings, so i bought it assuming it would work, i played for about 20 minutes, worked fine at medium settings, then it crashed. It crashed on the opening loading screen over and over, so I emailed bethesda, they asked me to email them my specs, i did, and they said my processer is weak **** and not good enough.

So the first 30 minutes were just an accident i guess. I created my character, answered the door, and started running for the vault and that's as far as I've gotten in the computer version. I then bought the ps4 version to play until i get a beefier computer.

Dammit it should say 30 minutes both times but i'm weary with a lack of sleep from playing fallout 4 all night before going in to work at a tractor supply company at 5 am where ******* 8 people were outside waiting for the doorbuster deals that started today. **** black friday and all these bundurus.

It could well be that, since it's the PC version and I think the console may even be enabled by default like it was with mine, meaning some may have just accidentally opened it and went on playing as normal, or used it to actively cheat the system. Merely opening the console disables achievements for that session.

I'm just waiting until the major bugs are fixed until I start to play it.
Also I still haven't finished MGS 5.

you'll be waiting a while...the first "Patch" doesn't really fix crap. it fixes like 4 quests and the graphics menu but none of the bugs that make you quit and reload your game: you can still get stuck at terminals and my body still disappears from time to time

I think I read it counts gifts to other people
And If you play offline it won't count your achievement on the list.
Not even counting glitches.

Because I started the game as soon as it released and went offline to not be interrupted, I don't have the achievement.
YET I do have legend of the wastes and prepared for the commonwealth
which are for completing the game and reaching level 50.

I don't have the achievement because i pirated the game before it arrived I got impatient waiting for the delivery . That's where the 12.4% is.

You don't catch up to achievements on your save.

So i'm happy to be part of that 12.4%

It's possible that they just used the internet connection to download the game and play without a connection. If they haven't connected to the internet, steam won't have that information to update the achievement info.

ALOT of people had achievements bug out in the first couple days it was out
I'm 50 hours into the game, but the leaving the vault achievement didn't pop for me

hey im one of them. downloaded fo3 once (not steam ofc because im hacker) never leave starting world because game is boring. do not get fo hype... but you who like it have fun.

This is quite common if you look at the achievements for other games you know. In fact, I just looked and that's a higher first achievement percentage than any game in my entire library, including Skyrim.

The thing that actually comes closest is Final Fantasy VII with an 83.7% rate of people who win their first battle, which you have to do literally as soon as the game starts.

I had a glitch or something in my first playthrough that didn't give me a lot of the initial achievements. Or at least I unlocked them when I started my second character. Which is fun, because I had the level 10, 25, and 50 level achievements or whatever they're called, but not the level 5. Maybe it's just that.

there was an error for some games before they released the day one patch. i had this error where i didn't get any achievements, so i missed the one of leaving the vault but i am still earning other achievements now because of the update.
