You can have multiple suits?

You have a fallout suit and still can afford a PC to play Fallout4?
Poor guy.
#215 to #1 - temporalguardian (11/28/2015) [-]
***** . And I have another 20+ without frames.
#265 to #215 - nativeboy (11/28/2015) [-]
I have mine scattered about the building. On top of the roof, on on the bridge as a sentry. You can't look at any house in Sanctuary without a power Armour suit staring at you.
#249 to #197 - marvlemaster (11/28/2015) [-]
I named my character Tony Stark. I have over 25 power armors, 3 full T51, to T45, 4 T60, 5 X-01, and 2 Raider, along with several partials Every time I find a suit of power armor in the Commonwealth, I take it back home.
User avatar #184 to #1 - psychologyxplain (11/28/2015) [-]
And they ALL have a selectable Brotherhood paint job

Not the x-01 tho
User avatar #114 to #1 - enlightednatzie (11/28/2015) [-]
Yeah but not at the same time.
#116 to #114 - anon (11/28/2015) [-]
No, you can have multiple, you just need to find enough Power Armor Frames. There's tons out there.
User avatar #169 to #116 - slaughprikot (11/28/2015) [-]
Yeah, but how can you take them and place them at your home? On PC btw.
#234 to #169 - geneticrepo (11/28/2015) [-]
Theres an exploit where you can infinitely sell a vendor ammo they alrdy have for unlimited caps and items. Buy all of one ammo type. Sell ONE back. Now sell the rest. You should be left with 1 bullet and can infinitely sell it.

Arturo in diamond city and kleo in goodneighbor both have frames to purchase. As well as handfulls of power cores. Do the exploit, grab the suit and cores, fast travel to your home base, exit armor, fast travel back, wait 24hrs if needed, repeat.
#250 to #234 - marvlemaster (11/28/2015) [-]
You can even do 2 suits at a time, because you can tell your followers to get in a suit, then just talk to them and tell them to get out when you're back home.
User avatar #199 to #169 - snipys ONLINE (11/28/2015) [-]
just find them and take them there? They are all over the map. I got one from a trailer park, one from concord, one from the brotherhood, and finally the frame that has the X-01 armour on it.
#176 to #169 - luqmanr (11/28/2015) [-]
just steal some from raiders by stealing their fusion cores. Or in some cases the raider will go out of his power armor before blowing up if you shoot his fusion core. After that you'd need to setownership it after you have it, because it will say "STEAL" if you don't use a console command, even though it is technically yours now
User avatar #193 to #176 - luqmanr (11/28/2015) [-]
btw I think the shooting the fusion core one actually doesn't make the user go out of it if he died with the explosion
User avatar #237 to #193 - lethalhugz (11/28/2015) [-]
They can survive it sometimes, but it is a powerful explosion so you'll usually have to make it your opening move.
#174 to #169 - puremike (11/28/2015) [-]
you can take it to one of your settlements and just leave them there. if you want them in some kind of order like in the picture you need to go into workshop mode, go to the crafting section and place a power armour rack then get out of your power armour as close to the rack as possible, press craft on it and itll be stored there.

It isn't a role playing game anymore, it is a shooter
User avatar #168 to #70 - psychologyxplain (11/28/2015) [-]
Then you don't know how to roleplay, because I'm having a blast just going around and acting in-character
#139 to #70 - dirtypizza (11/28/2015) [-]
As much as I hate to admit it you are right. It is a shooter now. Still a great game though. Not as great as Fallout 3 but it's damn near close.

It's been found that the Fallout 4 data files can be opened and edited with the TES construction kit, the same one used to edit Skyrim.

Man, seems this mod reveals the obvious lazy writing even more
User avatar #170 to #93 - psychologyxplain (11/28/2015) [-]
It's a radiant quest dude, the dialogue options are the same no matter where you go, but your misleading comment led 31 people to think the writing is, in fact, lazy. It's hard writing a video game, you should try it sometime mate.

That first part was maybe a wee bit confrontational, but in all seriousness there are some glorious pieces of writing all throughout this game, you just seem to be ignoring or missing them :/
User avatar #282 to #170 - nebuchadnezzaurus (11/29/2015) [-]
I'm not gonna bash a whole game based on what I've seen, but what I've seen ranges from meh to terribad. There are RPGs with actual good-great writing, I can name a few if you want, but this is not one of them. In fact it's not even an RPG, which kind of excuses the whole thing. I mean who wants to have meaningful conversations with memorable characters when you can just shoot and explode stuff.

User avatar #11 to #1 - fuzzyballs (11/27/2015) [-]
there are 5 different versions of suits
T-45, T-50, T-60, and the X-01 (enclave armour) and then raider armour
but you can find like 12 frames to put the armour pieces on, 12 frames with 3-4 out of 6 pieces on it, but you can also pick up defeated enemy armour pieces and stuff
and I heard, that if you manage to sneak up to someone in power armour, you can pickpocket their core (might need some perks in pickpocket) and they get thrown out and you can steal it

so yeah
you only really need the one, but some people like to collect useless junk
User avatar #165 to #11 - psychologyxplain (11/28/2015) [-]
Arturo sells frames and they refresh with the rest of hist stock

on top of those, the weapons vendor in diamond city, goodneighbour and on the prydwen sell 'power armour frame deeds' which spawn an empty suit nearby when bought. Dunno if deliberate or a glitch, but these deeds restock
User avatar #75 to #56 - wafflesloll (11/28/2015) [-]
dont forget the atom cats garage where you can also buy suit pieces
User avatar #166 to #75 - psychologyxplain (11/28/2015) [-]

oh theres also a full set of x01 on top of a building called 35 court in this area

right here talk to zeke and he will give you a quest then you can talk to rowdy to buy random armour parts im yet to see her sell x01 so im not sure if thats in her list and i have 31 suits of power armour so far
User avatar #50 to #11 - willgum (11/28/2015) [-]
in my experience pick pocketing doesn't work granted I never put any points into pick pocketing but if you shoot the core in vats and break it it will pop out and explode forcing the wearer to get out then you can take it
User avatar #24 to #11 - herosoldier (11/28/2015) [-]
you dont need to pick poket the core. if their back is turned you can shoot the core and theyll be forced out.
User avatar #13 to #11 - oharo (11/27/2015) [-]
You can find a lot more than 12 frames. There are 50 recoverable frames on the map alone, and an unlimited amount you can buy from restocking vendors.

Of course! In fact, I don't even think it needs to have a fusion core in it to fast travel home in one. Though there isn't much use for them once you're into the double digits.

Note that you can't reclaim one that an occupant died in. So no looting frames from dead raider bosses or BoS Knights. To steal from them, get the final perk of pickpocketing and snatch the core from their backs, or you can attempt to snipe it, causing the suit to overheat and eject the damaged core, which will then explode like a grenade. I personally don't like this method, as the explosion will do extensive damage to the armor pieces.
#118 to #42 - anon (11/28/2015) [-]
You don't need to be leveled all the way in pickpocket. I managed to do it with rank 1
User avatar #44 to #42 - krabface (11/28/2015) [-]
I thought you were talking about the crafting frame instead of the power armour frame. woops
User avatar #45 to #44 - oharo (11/28/2015) [-]
Gotcha. You can make those too at settlements with Local Leader rank 2.
User avatar #46 to #45 - krabface (11/28/2015) [-]
You should be able to build them straight away.

I don't really want to waste 2 levels for that.
#157 to #46 - weetos (11/28/2015) [-]
There is no level gap, so you don't 'waste' your levels
User avatar #47 to #46 - oharo (11/28/2015) [-]
Yeah I feel you, but that's where all of the crafting stations stations and shops are, perk-wise.
