Cass has better text and why the hell would you want to give her away for caps? You can get caps everywhere! Plus cass gives you a pretty handy perk. She's also one of the few followers I could stand. Boone kills everything before I see it and shows the same amount of emotion as a brick wall, and veronica charges headfirst into battle, which is not my style.

Also, if you're after some "action", take cass, because Veronica is a lesbian.

Raul is easily the best. He's funnier and absurdly good at killing things. I just don't like Cass, I did turn her in and I never regretted it once. Used Veronica for a while, it was a good time, she's pretty powerful, but once you start leveling up she starts getting useless really quick.

Or you could use Boone if you never want to fire your gun ever again.

Really depends, fallout 3 has a far better atmosphere, more post-apocalypse, while fallout NV has more guns (and in my opinion a better storyline) as well as offers a lot that fans of the first 2 games would enjoy.

If you have a pc just torrent it like I did. If you don't then buy it on ebay used for 5-10. (3 and new vegas)

That was what I was planning on.It's just I have the cheapest internet possible where I live, and downloading a game is a 1-2 day thing.

3 is worth the wait. Trust me.

Depends what you're looking for, Fallout: New Vegas had better gameplay IMO (Ironsights when you zoom in with a weapon, a lot more weapons & armor, Weapon modification, more factions, etc.) Whereas Fallout 3 GOTY edition had the best story out of all of them in my opinion. Fallout 3's main story felt like something straight out of a Hollywood movie, and the 4 DLC packs you get with the GOTY edition added a whole lot to the game, one of which extended the ending, which might've felt a bit meh otherwise.

Either way, they're both only 20-30 bucks each, if you have the money for it, I suggest getting both, they'll give you a good 300-500 hours of gameplay combined if you take the time to do most of the sidequests and potentially even play through them multiple times (I'd recommend starting with Fallout 3 for the Story, then moving up to New Vegas for the gameplay) O.o

Get both, Fallout 3 is my personal favourite but they are both excellent games.

Depends on what you're looking for. Good story, characters, and weapons? Go for Fallout New Vegas. Lots of copy + Paste dungeons, large exploration but not a lot of character? Go for Fallout 3. If you plan on playing Fallout 1, and 2, Fallout New Vegas fits much more with that style, if you play those two and then Fallout 3 you'll realize the true nature of Fallout 3.

Basically, Get Fallout New Vegas, stronger story, characters, environment and cooler weapons and armor.

Get fallout 3, the atmosphere is so much better than new vegas.
however that doesn't mean forgo new vegas entirely, after you've happily completed 3 play new vegas, the atmosphere kinda sucks but the controls and gameplay got better.

Get Fallout 3, preferably for PC for the mods.
NV just felt so... dull. So many little towns and cities, clean water everywhere... it just didn't feel like a real wasteland.
Fallout 3 just felt so much more like a wasteland that had been devastated by nuclear war, there are only two main cities, and one of them is an absolute dump. The rest of the towns are scattered remnants, tiny towns with makeshift defences struggling to survive repeated attacks from slavers, raiders and mutants.
In New Vegas all the towns seem so safe and big, it really doesnt feel as though civilisation has collapsed.
Also Fo3 has many more little buildings scattered around to raid and scavenge from, feels far more "survivalist". The Mojave Desert in New Vegas is, well, a desert. Big and empty.
Also Obsidian should note that when you add invisible walls at the top of cliffs to stop players going that way and force them to travel to locations the way you want them to... it stops being open world.

Nope. I just installed it and it freezes my whole computer
