MFW I can't run Fallout 4

 

Turns out my graphic card is too old to run it. My processor is *just* above the minimum requirement but it's also pretty old and doesn't function like it should.

I am probably better off buying a new computer. Even though I've only had this one for four years.
This is a sad day for me.

Worst part is that I can't look at all the Fallout content you guys are posting.
Hope you enjoy the game fellas.

my specs are
2.6Ghz (overclocked to 3.15) i5 dual core
GTX 860M (4Gb video memory)
8GB DDR3 Ram (1 slot still empty)
should I get a new laptop?

Just a quick heads up, those required specs are blown out the ******* water. If you can run GTA V at all, you can run this game. I have a duel core 3.0MHz and 8GB of ram and I get 20-70 fps. Really Bethesda, An i7? Complete ******** ...

Those are recommended specs. The minimum is like a Phenom II X4 945 and a 2GB 7870. The game has some fairly low requirements.

Dude I have a computer with windows vista, intel quad-core processor and nvidia gt 220 graphics card. I won't play the game until I buy a new computer and there is a reason why I'm stuck with this one, I'm broke. So I try to avoid fallout content and see as little of the game as possible so that when I llplay it 5 years from now it will be new to me. Also fallout content makes me cry.

Avoid the comments. At least on anything even remotely related to Fallout. I've had a big thing ruined for me because I scrolled down and some ******** wanted to be a dick. I'm hoping my **** memory will allow me to forget about it by the time I get around to actually playing it when I finally get a PS4.

I can run my game for 10 minutes at the time but due to having a GTX 580 I suffer from a strange driver glitch/bug/thing that just shuts off my driver randomly even though the card is holding up just fine.

I highly reccomend taking the risk and moving your gaming pc to college, It helps me massively because of the power it has in connecting to homework sites at a reasonable speed. No joke. I would reccomend shipping it yourself (assuming you can drive) and use foam (possibly the box it came in) to protect it while keeping the wires and cords in separate baggies, to site on the passengers seat. Then take the pc and put it in the space between the passenger seat and the back row, move the passenger seat back until the pc fits snuggly between them. Then drive. Drive and play gloriously my friend.

I live 1,400 miles away from my hometown and I don't have enough space in my dorm to fit it anywhere. I just use my laptop on my bed, and thats pretty much all I can fit.

To that i say... Fallout is awesome bruv, holy shet i shrreeeeeded some muddafugas with muh power armor + minigun ograsm cocktail woo weee wooo weee.


Besides most things being set to low, with the specs i listed the game runs perfectly on 1920x1080 resolution with no stuttering or artifacts etc.

RAM is on the low side but you're fine. You should be able to hit ultra settings at 1080p if you're willing to play at 35FPS. Its pretty well optimized.

Yup, playing with a 750ti and a worse CPU fx6300 thats what i run it at. I have 8gb of RAM though, but it shouldn't matter much. People are saying the amount of RAM you need is actually much lower than 8.
The autodetect is probably trying to give you 60FPS, but IMO this isn't some twitch shooter and you don't need super high FPS.

I'm starting the think that the people who hate fallout actually just can't run the game, cuz I'm having fun.
