Well anon probably won't answer but I bought it. Mixed feelings so far on my part. I love R6, I've played since Black Arrow probably 10+ years ago. I bought this one without hesitation.
I didn't dump too much time into it yet but personally it feels like an arcade shooter more than a $60 game. I think the game is a blast, it's fun online, it's still rainbow. But I don't think it should be trying to compete with CoD and **** anymore as far as the $60 price tag goes. Aesthetically speaking it looks like **** as well. Graphics aren't everything, but this game looks hella dated!
I don't know, my biggest qualm is just the price tag and the level they are competing on. I think they should have went the "Counter Strike" route with the franchise. Make it a $20~ arcade shooter, because that's all it feels like anymore. There's no campaign or anything. Also, we waited almost 10 years for a new R6 and it feels kind of disappointing with what they delivered for such a long wait.
I played the beta for like 10 minutes because the servers were atrocious, but I got to admit that playing as Tashanka with its big ass MG was fun.
I was deciding between BO3 and R6 but I think BO3 wins in terms of being a more complete game (campaign, multi, and zombies). Its a shame really, I had high expectations for R6, guess I will lay my hopes on Ghost Recon.
i think its an awesome game and i really like to play it.
Down part is the matchmaking and the ubisoft servers.
I played yesterday for like three hours (atleast i tried) and the total playtime was probably somewhere at around 1:30h because you get stuck so many times in the loading screen its ridicilous
