It is, more or less. Every race is meant to be one-sided and convey hypocrisy. Hell, when the Tau initially came out, people complained that they were "too good and pure" and had to adjust them in the following codex. Made the Ethereals manipulative and ambitious, allegedly

The skull iconography in the Imperium is the symbol of Emperor's sacrifice and ascension like Christians and crosses . Pre HH the Imperium was using almost exclusively the Lightning and/or Aquilla iconography (except for Death Guard and Night Hunters... those ******* heretical wankers).
Chaos is using skulls as blasphemy against that, but also as a terror motif.
Mechanicus is using cog-skull to symbolise that flesh is weak and thus it needs to be replaced by machienery
Necrons don't use it (they look like skeletons tho)
Tau don't use it
Eldars don't use it
Tyranids don't use it
Orks don't use it (tho they wear them like a ******* fashion statement)
Also I still don't get why Tau are such a ******* big deal... they hold less territory than ******* Ultramarines, they can't travel for **** and they still didn't face any major Chaos threats so all that ******** about them being 'immune' or 'resistant' to corruption is just blowing water. For ***** sakes during the last Tyrannic invasion they went fo DARK ******* ELDAR for help... how's that for retarded

Tau were meant to be Games Workshops way to try and get some noblebright into the grimdarkness of the grimdark universe of 40k.

But the recent Codex/lore updates state: "The Imperials, refusing to graciously accept their defeat, have enacted the unthinkable. They unleashed a weapon of mass destruction on Mu’gulath Bay. The world was set to blaze. Millions of Tau died alongside the surviving Imperial forces that could not have been evacuated (estimated to be 50% of the surviving Imperial forces). The devastation did not stop there. The blaze blossomed into a great conflagration that expended and covered the entirety of the Damocles Gulf in a corrosive sea of plasmic flame. The Tau Empire is cut off from its newly won colonies and worlds and the rest of the galaxy."


So its assumed that some of the Tau on either side of this Trump Wall of Plasma are going to either go ******* insane and go grimdark or just be normal Tau.

Also to top it off: "Shadowsun and Farsight bid farewell to each but not before Shadowsun warning Farsight that there will be a reckoning between them in the future. Farsight returned to his Enclaves to find under the shadow of Leviathan. The fight is far from over." Tyranids in yo base gg no re Tau fags.

One would think that Tau would somehow learn just what kind of realm they're poking. For ***** sake I doubt that they would be able to survive even a fraction of the **** that is getting thrown Imperium's way every other Tuesday. Like do they even know that Imperium is basically in control of the whole galaxy? Or that they have wars with enemies that would skin Tau Empire with just recon fleet? Or that they can defend themselves agains attacks that would level the ******* segmentum if left unchallenged?

At what point they'll realize that somehow those people are everywhere they go... and they seem to have endless supply or tanks, troops and if pressed, Space Marines... and more of them they kill, more **** is crawling from the void... and that **** is WAY worse than those humans... and kinda doesn't want to hear their pseudo-hippie ******** about Greater Good for Etereals ... and it kinda can't be stopped by their ******* animu guns, toy robots and pet cannibals.

I would love to see the look on the Ethereal's face when one of the really big Tau gundams gets trapped in Tesseract Labyrinth. Or when half their army turns into vapor due to Pylon firing at something half a click away. Or when one of their planets turns into a slave pit for some Chaos Lord and all their shiny skyscrapers turn into bombed out brick ********** and the captives are foced to eat one another for 'Greater Good'... those ******* wankers have no ******* clue what's going on in the galaxy around them. But at least they have their ******* evangelions and communist samurais with nerf guns.

I agree with you only problem I have with Tau is that all the ******* 12 year olds at my LGS buy whole ******* HUNTER CADRES and it just really dilutes all the fun enemies you can play against like Chaos or Necrons. Also I was poking fun at the Imperium because of the sheer amount of skulls found on every availabe imperial piece you can find

The Legion is violent in its conquest. THAT is comparable to raiders. But. once they control the area, they protect it. Protect the absolute **** out of it, for the people and caravans. Raul and that one caravan dude in the camp say these. Even Cass mentions how safe roads are for caravans in Legion land if I remember right.

The Legion has its strengths and weaknesses, but its strengths are rarely mentioned, especially when it comes to people outside of the Legion, because Obsidian didn't have time to properly flesh them out.

Like others said, many army special squads and **** still uses skulls on their uniforms and decoration. Honestly, I think the "Nazi" look wasn't considered like something evil before the Nazi's used it, their uniforms were pretty ******* dope really. The outfit is the stereotypical "bad guy" outfit, but why is that? When you think of Nazi's you immediately think of evil, and so their uniforms have been associated with that too. Had they used some other type of uniform/color scheme, I'm sure that would be the typical "bad guy" outfit instead of what we have now.
