I've had all of my companions do that, if they can equip items.
The worst was ******* Garvey, who thought that his laser musket was a worse weapon than a god-damned flamer that he looted from somewhere. He didn't sneak, and he could shoot at targets a whopping ten feet away.
>>#56, Give her a weapon
Drop your ammo for that weapon on the ground
Console yourself 9999 of ammo for that weapon player.giveitem ID 9999
Give her ammo
She picks up random **** or goes melee because she has no standard weapon.
I also just realized you could just give her the ammo through the console instead of giving it to yourself first.
>be me, traveling with Piper
>go to vault 81 because curious
>meet Curie
>"Well that's a charming accent she has"
>instantly fall in love
Best companion
>be me
>travelling with piper
>enter the combat zone
>watch a little red bird peck out the eyes of a Raider
>murder every Raider in the club for her autograph.
>piper takes this opportunity to fill me in on her tragic past and how much I mean to her
>didn't notice cause I was going halfsies on some psycho with cait.
Piper is cute, but cait is fun. Wishe she didn't hate synths though...
the continuous comment about me staring at her ass is irritating to say the least, i dont swing that way and its all the god damn time, even if i am just crafting.
I don't know the first thing about modding so I figured that I could use it as a base and then add decals It worked. . I plan to make some modifications before I have a final product.
With T-60 full model C you shouldnt really die unless you sprint head first into a super mutant camp, and maxed at F or with X-01 armor you wont even be scratched..
I've heard that a lot today. I would love to do that and make it more lore-friendly and whatnot, I'm just new to this, and not very good. Thank you for your friendly and constructive criticism.
You can probably do that pretty easily, I haven't tried yet, but if you're on PC, you can console command it.

All those crazy numbers in the middle are Curie's base ID. So you can manipulate her looks. If you were to do yourself, the Base ID should be <00000014> I think.
Anyway, you should be able to manipulate her that way. But when you do it, make sure you're looking at her face in first person so you can see what you're doing. Because it'll lock you in place.
Trust me, as soon as Bethesda releases GECK im 100% certain that there will be several replacements for her looks, im kinda looking forward to the Assaultron Curie actually
I find the accent seems Scottish to the Irish and seems Irish to the Scottish. Seemingly existing in a metaphysical state of being both Irish and Scottish at the same time while also being neither.
Some things she says sound like she's from Dublin, some sound like she's from the backass of Lisgould, and some sound like she's just making **** up on the spot. As an Irishman, I can't stand having her with me coz her accent almost hurts me. Besides, I prefer Piper.
From what little I've heard of her speak, I have the same problem. I might go for Piper too as she seems to have a noir-style about her, which is cool. And a sweet hat.
Piper has a habit of being ******* adorable, and her voice actor is pretty incredible. Like, when she's sad or nervous there's full on voice breaks and stuff. Miles better than Cait in my eyes.
That sounds real cute, damn now I have to go get the game. Not like I have any other things I should be focusing on at all. Gonna be Civ 5 all over again.
The combat is much more fast paced, and flows far better. It's also a bit tougher at the start, and enemies all behave in their own unique ways. Wait till you come across your first gathering of feral ghouls.
Awesome, combat has always been what's bored me in fallout, I'll have definitely at least pirate it to check it out. Thanks for the info. And for convincing me.
Okay, thanks I didn't know. I just don't understand why they didn't just get an Irish actor, god knows we have enough of them, why go that extra step to go get a Scottish one?
In regards to you other comment, she doesn't really sound Irish either, I would know I'm Irish. maybe Scots-Irish? Either way the accent is quite strange and doesn't seem to fit into any category.
As long as you don't bring her during quest chains it's fine, really.
Extorting people for caps and picking locks basically got me in a romantic relationship alone.
I have her and my other companions in the Covenant settlement and i keep getting notes about her disliking things when i return quests for preston, she looks good but i dont like her personality, "upgraded" Curie however...
I did it because i made it my main base, took some console commands to get the defences up and getting the beds usable tho.. Not sure why that settlement is broken.. Because i saved the girl and killed them all Also i might be wrong, might be when im being nice to preston or a settler in need of help, she dislikes when you are nice..
Go to vendor with ammo
Pick an ammo type, usually the first is 308
Buy all the 308 so its over your side, saying you owe money
Sell back one 308 round to the merchant then wait one second
Now sell the rest of the 308 rounds you have
It should glitch now and you will still have one round on you
Click on the round over and over and it makes the vendor owe you money
^You can continue with that step it just takes longer as you have to click forever
Now the next step to this doesnt always work but its quicker to get the money she owes you, into the millions.
You wanna get the money she owes you, by clicking on the one round left, to around 130 caps
Next go on her side and click on the 308 rounds and buy all, then keep doing this
If it worked, the amount the vendor owes you should be going up very fast
If its not, just do the first step of selling the rounds one at a time
Uh, no. On a standard difficulty run (inb4 casul), a sneak build comes online as soon as level 5 as long as those first levels are devoted almost entirely to putting points into Sneak. After 75 points or so you can avoid detection at melee range provided you don't run when you get close (until you get the Silent Running perk, which isn't too far away at that point since it's just a matter of hitting the level requirement).
After you gain the ability to move anywhere without being seen, it's just a matter of how you use it and understanding how enemies go about looking for you once they are in Caution mode (namely, they will move to where the attack came from and get increased detection in their line of sight). Honestly, the Sneak builds in FO3 and NV were very playable.
he can be at any of the settlements you own, best try and look in the house you start at, he usually lingers around there, if not just tp to all the places you own, he will be at one of them.
dude that just somehow happened to me with dogmeat.... but he had almost a full suit of T-60 power armor on him when i switched companions by accident. i ran into strong and was like "cool i see how a super mutant companion works out" and sent dogmeat to sacntuary, well i went there to turn in some quests so i could level up and then go build a power armor station at another settlement for my new set. but when i fast traveled to the other settlement and back, dogmeat had just disappeared and now i can't find him anywhere
Is it just me, or has fallout become the nutella of video games? people seem to talk more about it than actually just playing it (at least on all video game related facebook pages i'm on)
Trust me, a lot of people are still just playing it. People are gonna be talking about it probably more than they have been talking about Skyrim. I alone have logged 132 hours since the launch and I don't think I'm gonna be done with it any time soon. That's about 1/3 of the time that has passed since then. Seriously though, I practically took a break from real life these last two weeks.
I have Curie with me everywhere except for the Glowing Sea because she's a top tier waifu and Grade A Wife Material her perk is ******* amazing and her default laser rifle is solid, plus I don't have to worry about her burning through my ammo
I'm not the sneaky breaky type, so I bring Caith because she has the second highest strength for companions, and she doesn't dislike me for hacking and picking locks
they just carry my **** , and I like having to outfit a companion, and now I can give her all the useless .38 ammo
I wasn't on my first playthrough either and I had fun giving piper a full set of power armor and a rocket launcher, but that's where it ends.
Aside from being called blue she does nothing for me on my second playthrough.
Only set off mines and carry a gun or two every now and then.
Which I'll forget to sell anyway.
I meant basic weapons and armour
so they're capable to take out low level enemies, not overpowered and taking the fun from my game by killing everything
But so can I, quite easily in fact.
Besides, I'm at that level right now where most things won't even find me unless I'm using my loud as **** sniper or right in their face. I kinda liked being called Blue.
ah yes, because energy and poison protection is more useful than energy defense at pretty much any point in the game, right?
army fatigues all the way, not only do you get more end and agi, you can upgrade that when you get to the railroad to have up to 108 regular and energy protection
Yes, because I play it casually.
I enjoyed the porn produced by fallout 4 longer than I actually played the game.
I don't care about that, I want to wear my skintight vault jumpsuit.
Dogmeat is best companion if you can use him right: since he'll stay out of the way, stay behind you, and keep his damn head down when you're sneaking.
It's definitely really fun.
The rads/health mechanic is way better than 3/NV imo, it makes more sense, the gunplay is tremendously better, and the graphics are a nice touch. VATS is also more realistic.
While the skill tree no longer exists, replaced by just SPECIAL perk upgrades, and the dialogue wheel is ass, the pros outweigh the cons.
How is VATS more or less realistic? I mean, it's a targeting computer in your eyeball that zooms in and tells you the probability of hitting a certain body part. The whole idea seems pretty unrealistic. Not that I don't like VATS, but I hear this a lot. I just don't understand the realism behind VATS.
well in 3/NV, VATS completely pauses the game, giving you time to select body parts and **** .
In 4, it's more like you took a ******** of Jet and time slows down, but the enemy is still moving and if you take your time you'll basically lose your chance to kill.
Hm. Interesting. I haven't played 4 yet, because I don't have a machine to play it on, and I don't buy games at full price. (I'm just cheap like that) But that does make a lot more sense. Why is it people say you've got to use it in the new game? I've always been a long range builder myself, and sometimes I find that VATS won't even lock on to stuff I'm shooting at in 3, I haven't found a sniper rifle in NV yet, but I expect to find the same problem. VATS just turns into another game mechanic I end up trashing about half way through the game.
your laptop is a little weaker than mine, but it actually runs perfectly on ultra for me,
which is wierd, considering i barely meet min requirements.
i'd say go for it, but don't expect miracles.
they have re-used alot of sounds from Skyrim including:
Mongrels attack sound and death sound is the same as the wolfs
The armor workbench hammering sound is the same as a workbench from Skyrim
The jump sound is the same
I've had a conversation like that in real life and I honestly would have been so thankful if some horrible hell beast came along and cut me in half half way through so I didn't have to finish it.
Seeing all these interruptions makes me kind of glad for them. It's a ******* wasteland with monsters like that goddamn everywhere, you shouldn't be having a funky doodle time right in the open.
I wish you could change the color on it, or loot the black ones that some synths wear. What is it with Bethesda games and always having badass looking armor that is unlootable? Oblivion had the same thing with the white and gold guard armor.
I wear the synth field helmet with full heavy combat armour, but that's only cuz I can't find a combat helmet, plus I like the full face cover it provides.
I dropped it for a combat helmet thinking I'd be able to use the lamp on it, but apparently I can't. Still, I have the combat helmet, skull bandana, and wrap around goggles with the armored Railroad coat mk 2
During the quest Battle for Bunker Hill you can loot some, as well as when the Brotherhood attacks the Railroad . Also good places to get full sets of T-60 Power Armor if you arent with the Brotherhood
I was playing NV on a level 12 character about an hour ago, found a deathclaw, killed it. Mild celebration, go up to it and grab it's hand. Oh, what's this? "Young" Deathclaw? Well I guess they have to be young at one point or another. Oh well, pick it up and begin walking away with it back to town to see how much I can sell it for. Two full grown deathclaws arrive. I'm pretty sure I took two hits, but they were so close together it was like being one hit. ******* deathclaws.
