It's definitely really fun.
The rads/health mechanic is way better than 3/NV imo, it makes more sense, the gunplay is tremendously better, and the graphics are a nice touch. VATS is also more realistic.

While the skill tree no longer exists, replaced by just SPECIAL perk upgrades, and the dialogue wheel is ass, the pros outweigh the cons.

How is VATS more or less realistic? I mean, it's a targeting computer in your eyeball that zooms in and tells you the probability of hitting a certain body part. The whole idea seems pretty unrealistic. Not that I don't like VATS, but I hear this a lot. I just don't understand the realism behind VATS.

well in 3/NV, VATS completely pauses the game, giving you time to select body parts and **** .

In 4, it's more like you took a ******** of Jet and time slows down, but the enemy is still moving and if you take your time you'll basically lose your chance to kill.

Hm. Interesting. I haven't played 4 yet, because I don't have a machine to play it on, and I don't buy games at full price. (I'm just cheap like that) But that does make a lot more sense. Why is it people say you've got to use it in the new game? I've always been a long range builder myself, and sometimes I find that VATS won't even lock on to stuff I'm shooting at in 3, I haven't found a sniper rifle in NV yet, but I expect to find the same problem. VATS just turns into another game mechanic I end up trashing about half way through the game.

The crit system. For every hit in VATS you fill your crit meter, and when it's filled you can choose to hit with a crit.

It also helps with bugs, since they're really hard to hit.

Then it only leaves if my laptop can run it, it's a gaming built laptop but it got a few years on it now.
If you're any good with it, you think this www.techradar.com/reviews/pc-mac/laptops-portable-pcs/laptops-and-netbooks/samsung-series-7-gamer-1055462/review#specification will be enough?

my specs say i am at recommended, fallout 4 engine told me minimum, had to turn it on ultra so i could sit at 150fps, medium was over 200fps
User avatar #195 to #147 - xxhunterxx (11/23/2015) [-]
Yeah, specs are pretty good. You'll be able to run it on medium with minimal frame drops.
User avatar #187 to #147 - scorcho (11/23/2015) [-]
your laptop is a little weaker than mine, but it actually runs perfectly on ultra for me,
which is wierd, considering i barely meet min requirements.
i'd say go for it, but don't expect miracles.

You definitely have enough power for it. If you get it and have any frame drop problems search for how to frame limit it and thatll help
