it really is the same game. the difference from Fallout 1 and 2 compared to Fallout 3 is huge. the difference from Fallout 3 and New Vegas compared to Fallout 4 is very little.
I like the ending though. I mean I wish the game wasn't so buggy and half-assed. Did you set up a supply line, hope you like where it is because it's unnecessarily hard as **** to change.
Yeah but not really a bug or glitch though, just a misuse of the game mechanics. Maybe in the future games with have sentient AI that can figure out they're being made a fool of.
Collision dettection from "trashcan" in "head", collision detection form "trashcan" in "body", trigger response "hey, what the **** are you trying to do you joker?"
I think you would be surprised, but that's not important. I gave simple solution to simple problem with mechanics that is already there. If this ***** all over the place with 47694 new additional bugs then code is **** . Nothing more to it. I get that developing a game is a pain beyond imagination. But dealing with this problem is really not that hard. The code would have to be beyond **** to prevent from dealing with it.
True, many problems are not that hard to figure out. The problem in finding all 50000000 ways people can make problems with it, then finding ways to fix it that doesnt break somthing else. Then after launch you get to find out there were 99999999999 possible ways for **** to break.
Again I get that and I'm not saying that developing a game is a wak in the park. It has a lot more to do with tears that sunshine (actually it has nothing to do with sunshine). But this particular problem was present in Skyrim so they had a lot of time to deal with it. And it would be relatively easy (i think at least) to deal with with simple collision detection of object on body. Yes, that would generate some additional problems like triggering responses in cases when player does not try to put the object on the head of an npc like for example some triggers when npc gets hit with the object from explosion or sth. But that would be a far smaller bug to leave in and waaay harder to trigger. I think they just noticed people have fun with it and mostly don't mind it and left it as is.
I love Nick because he always has something interesting to say. Combat wise, he uses a revolver pistol which is still okay if it wasn't for the fact that companions has extremely poor accuracy. So for combat, i love me some Danse with his power armor and laser rifle.
I might not like 99% of the synth population, but that French accent, along with naive attitude and personality is just... Shiiiiit. Reminds me of Lelliana from Dragon Age Origins.
But he opens every door he walks past, I hate it, it makes sneaking impossible since they can just ******* see me through the open door.
Not to mention the times he runs off and aggroes several enemies at a time.
Other than this, I love the little mutt, he doesn't judge me for carrying around 200lbs of junk, and he more than happily shares the load without complains.
Cait and Curie because one is bad ass drug slinging murder machine and the other is ******* adorable as **** . Also Danse lovers....how does that whole synth betrayal feel?
I gave her a scoped fully modded version of the "Teribles something or other" Shotgun form libertalia and she snipes bitches with it for me. Guess it is all about the load out, I play on survival and she still manages pop heads
I've playing for just shy of 7 days in game and I honestly haven't seen too many bugs besides some goofy ragdolls, radroaches, and rarely a texture or two that take some time to get to higher resolution. I dont know what everyone's talking about with bugs.
**GoldenLotus used "*roll picture*"** **GoldenLotus rolled image**There was one time I fell off of a highway and died. When I loaded back up, I was only about halfway across the highway back to where I fell off only to see the entire highway in front of me in a lower resolution and when I tried crossing to that side I just fell through and died. Only had to spend a few minutes backtracking to walk below the highway, so wasn't too bad though.
yoooo when you dismiss him I dont think he disappears, check everything n sanctuary hills, then pay a visit to general atomics galleria. I have found him there a couple of times.
Also there is this "bug" (god forbid if I call it something else, cuase hurr durr bugz) where dismissing a companion like dogmeat or codsworth might make them "disappear", you have to either load a few times, or just keep on exploring until you find him somewhere (he might be in other settlements which sucks ass
Yesterday i used vats on a target, i then exited vats and aimed with my weapon.
Which teleported me into the air resulting in death from falling.
I don't understand how that could happen.
I've experienced a glitch(a dozen or so times), where after exiting a terminal, I couldn't do anything else besides looking around.
I'm 99% sure that happens because I disabled the frame limiter, so not really Bethesda's fault.
Oh, and the game crashed once, but I'm inclined to believe it was because of the mods I had installed.
"I'm 99% sure that happens because I disabled the frame limiter, so not really Bethesda's fault. "
Nope, it's definitely their fault. Locked FPS and FPS tied to engine so it speeds up game at higher FPS? In an AAA title in 2015?
Bravo, Bethesda.
am i the only one who likes a series and thinks "i want more of this" instead of "i want something radically different so it doesn't resemble the previous game too much, otherwise why would i buy it?"
also.. it's a bethesda game... there were bugs in the trailers, idk what you were expecting but that really should have clued you in :¬P
You're actually right
As in for you faggots. You critisize every other game NOT made by bethesda
You guys are just as bad or worse than the fags that play cod
In my opinion not a single person should be shocked by what Fallout 4 is. It is literally Bethesda going:
"Psst guys so since everyone will buy our game anyway no matter what, so lets make it basically the same but add a building mechanic that is terrible and boring so that we can make a mobile game to make extra money."
To me there is no significant difference between Fallout 3 and 4 and should get hate as such BUT if that's what you want then do you, I'm just disappointed in it.
Mate it's a largely story-driven game, it doesn't need to completely change its mechanics every time a sequel comes out. It gets more praise than it's due by the fans and it's not the best game I've played all year, but it's still a pretty damn good game. The significant difference between Fallout 3 and Fallout 4 is that it's in a different setting with different characters and different quests.
You know, I'm just throwing this out there but faggots like you are the reason Banjo Threeie got cancelled in favour of Banjo Kazooie: Nuts & Bolts. You cry about there being no difference but the moment they make any significant changes you'll complain that they ruined the series
Not at all, I've never played a single Banjo game so i have no idea what you're talking about. The best example i have is the Borderlands and Borderlands 2. Games should get better and feel different with each iteration. Fallout isn't different or better. It's exactly the same
Wait Borderlands is the best example of a game changing and updating or the best example of a game that's gotten stale and needs to be changed? Because they're both great games but I'm pretty sure FO3/4 changes more between games than BL1/2.
I think maybe you're judging it a little too harshly and looking at what's the same more than what's new because of all the fanboys, I know I've done that before. Fallout 4 changes and adds plenty, just because they've kept features from previous games doesn't mean it's suddenly a clone.
Banjo Kazooie was one of the best games on the N64, along with games like Zelda and Super Mario 64. It's one of those timelss games that you can always go back to and think "wow, this is a really ******* good game" without worrying about how it's dated.
After Banjo Kazooie came Banjo Tooie. Slightly improved graphics and some cool new moves, but otherwise the same core mechanics. It was a perfect sequel; everything from the previous game but slightly better with a new story.
Then after Banjo Tooie, Rare (the developers) hinted at Banjo Threeie, which was majorly anticipated by fans. After Rare got bought out by Microsoft they hinted at it even more and fed us teasers; after years and years it was finally being made, and fans were ecstatic.
Then Threeie got trashed Banjo Kazooie: Nuts & Bolts came out. To call it a failure would be like calling M. Night Shyamalan's biggest, wateriest turd "a bit smelly." Jontron reviewed it and depicted the disc as an evil demon that needed to be destroyed.
It wasn't too awful a game in its own right, but unfortunately Microsoft did its research. Badly. See, Banjo Kazooie was all about collectibles. Musical notes, little rainboy-coloured friendly monsters called Jinjos, jigsaw pieces, the purpose of each world was to collect all the items. Well in recent years people had gotten sick of collectables, so Microsoft in their infinite wisdom decided to completely change how the game was played. On top of that though they also poked fun at the previous games and made them out to be endless fetch quests that modern gamers weren't interested in, collecting a trillion pointless items (they really weren't, each item you picked up felt significant in its own way and the whole thing was beautifully done.)
Anyway the point is if it isn't broken, you don't always have to fix it. Innovation is fine and good but you don't have to totally change how a game is played just because your old games have been done. <------ Big Banjo Kazooie rant, spoilering because I got a little off track.
I genuinely couldn't name you another game made by Bethesda off the top of my head other than the rest of the fallout series (I assume). I don't really buy games based on the companies who have made them. I usually watch trailers and play betas, then decide if I want them based on those experiences. As for the bugs, I've heard about one or two annoying bugs, but haven't encountered them myself. Also the game has added so much more to the Fallout series. From the much improved graphics, to the added backstory which has always been missing from the games. Overall great game and my decision has nothing to do with who made it.
It's probably just me, but I think Cait is annoying as **** , every time I go back to the Red Rocket, she's like, "NOOTHIN'S BETTER THAN GETTIN' DRUNK OR IN A FIGHT, AM I RIGHT?", and I want to kill her because ******* no, there's a whole lot of better **** that "GETTIN' PISSED OR FOIGHTIN'.", if it wasn't for her ability to pick Master locks, I'd've left her in the Combat Zone.
Curie is Bae
I put her in a lab coat and made her a maxed out institute rifle because it looks all sciency
got really sad when I found you couldn't winterize X-01 power armour so I couldn't make her a sciency-looking set of personal power armour
>She's Irish
Yeah, but the worst kind of Irish accent.
>She's redhead.
That I'll give you.
>Tough
No, she's ******* worthless in a shootout, Nick or Danse are best for fights.
>And drunk.
Yeah, that's the only part of her personality, if you don't recruit her, she whines about "THIS GODDAMN HEAT", and then says, "There's nothin' better than gettin' drunk or in a fight, am I right?" 98 times.
Does nobody realize you can put your followers (Except Dogmeat, Codsworth, and Strong) INTO POWERARMOR
They take no Cores to power it and you can hand them whatever weapon you want to tell them to use it.
So Honestly, ANY companion is as good as ANY other for me, cause I have Master Lockpicking and Master Terminal hacking I don't need them for anything other than Carrying my **** and being a second target for enemies WHICH THEY DO WELL
I've only seen 1 bug in FO4 so far inb4 radroaches , but it is so ******* annoying, because it happens fairly often.
I switch my weapon out, but my hands are empty but in a pose as though the weapon is in them. I cannot shoot at all until I finally manage to get the gun to appear.
This happens midcombat. Switch gun out, suddenly I can't shoot at all and I just get mulched.
that's not really a bug
that's just your gun taking it's time to load
I hate the one where your gun just goes invisible when you were just using it
or the one where the vertibird minigun disappears in first person, and then it's gone in third person, and if you try shooting or reloading the game crashes
and I don't know if it's Win 10 or Fallout 4, but the crashes suck because the game won't minimize and I have to log off my account and back in
