Well, I have no idea of how Fallout is like. All I know is that it's something after a nuclear war. All i want to know is if it's an open world game.

All of the Fallout games are wide open sandbox, you can do whatever the hell you want, you can murder a town, do quests, explore.

It's an open world game. And in my opinion Fallout: New Vegas is better. But i still like playing Fallout 3. I would recommend playing both.

fallout 3 has shit aiming system, but is longer and a great game, new vegas has a more flexible storyline and has better aiming and gunplay, but i think fallout 3 is a longer less repetetive game. both are great, but id reccomend playing fallout 3 first because its such an unforgettable game.

I honestly like fallout 3 better, because it has a better story line. But Fallout NV has a flexible storyline with more things to do. Either way they are both great, and make sure you get the Game of the year addition so you don't screw yourself out of the DLC.
