Fallout weapons facts
Fallout 3 edition, Part III
The sniper rifle is “An older model of the ” from earlier Fallout
games. Their are many elements of several long range weapons here. host
notably is the rifles general shape, it slightly resembles the Russian
The muzzle break is renascent of Antibacterial rifles. The scopes
side mount indicates it is of former Comilon/ Warsaw Pact style, as these
weapons notably have side rails for optic mounting.
It is worthwhile to note the Infiltrator and perforator are unique
versions of the IIN Assault rifle. However, this does not mean that it is
necessarily similar to the rifle the IIN is based off of. Both the
infiltrator and perforator add a optic and a sound suppressor
to the rifle, while giving a slightly decreased damage output. The rifle,
while visually similar to the standard IIN, slightly resembles the Russian
Avtomat and suppressed combat rifles. As the name implies,
the "gnh' aerator" was most likely developed for deep reconnaissance and
special operations missions.
The Minigun is notably one of the most common names for any rotary-
barreled weapon that uses a power supply to rotate the barrels. This is
what allows them to achieve such a high rate of fire. There have been
many attempts to make a rotary cannon a man portable weapon, notably the
sixpack". however, none were ever successful. The minigun in game
is made by Rockwell industries, based off defense and manufacturing giant
Rockwell international. In the modulate 20th century, Rockwell was in its
prime, having a hand in manufacturing many great American icons such as
the Mustang, The Apollo spacecraft, the , and even the
current lips systems we use today. In 2001, what remained of the company
following the end of the cold war split into two companies; Rockwell
Automation and Rockwell Collins, ending a manufacturing giant. Today,
their stamp can still be seen on military equipment the world over, and
the minigun may be a nod to Rockwell, a company that defined contemporary
The gauss rifle is, well just that: A gauss rifle. Named for the man who
formulated the mathematics associated with it, Carl Friedrich Gauss, it
is also known as a Gauss gun or coil rifle. A gauss rifle is a rifle
that uses a ferromagnetic projectile accelerated down a barrel by use of
linear electromagnetic coils to supersonic speeds, rather than a
cartridge with a powder, primer, and bullet. This allows the round to be
accelerated to speeds much faster than that of a standard bullet, and
can in theory save a great deal of weight. The rounds would impact with
a great deal more force than your standard rifle could produce with a
similar sized bullet. As of currently, there are only minor gauss or
coil guns, and have only been able to produce minor energy (comparable
to an air rifle). Larger version, however, have been successful. These
are called rail guns, and as of current the United States Navy has
produced and test fired one several times. A proposed spaced based 45-
stage (coils) rail gun by the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency
DARPA) would produce 1. 6 megajoules of energy. One megacycle is the
equivalent kinetic energy of a vehicle moving at 160 km/ h (100
The fat mans only unique copy is the Experimental MIRV. MIRV is an acronym for
Multiple Independent Reentry Vehicle (or Multiple Independently Forgetable Reentry
Vehicle), a system used on Inter Continental Ballistic missiles,
granting them the ability to strike multiple targets within seconds of one another.
Many argue that this was the technology that caused the cold war to NOT go nuclear.
Notably, the most powerful nuclear device ever dropped was the Soviet Tsar bomba, but
the most powerful nuclear device was and still is the MIRV on ICBMs, some capable of
delivering over 100 Megatons of explosives. The Experimental MIRV is a cold reminder
of what could have been. It is the most expensive weapon to use in Fallout, and has
been given the nickname "the lag cannon", due to its nature to crash the game without
a second thought.
I apologize this one is so short. next one will be on the weapons of Fallout: New Vegas

Fun fact: The nuke that was dropped on Nagasaki was actually called "The Fat man" because of the way it looked.

The bomb dropped on Hiroshima was called "The little boy"

(Left to right: Little boy, Fat man)

You can find the Little Boy in Fallout 3, so the above info comp is wrong.

Fat Man
Little Boy

Three, not two unique versions of the weapon

its in the northern part of the dc ruins in the "national guard depot" yoU HAVE TO FIGHT YOUR WAY THROUGH (soory for capslock im too lazy to fix it but not too lazy to write this) office buiodings and you'll get to the end and say "wtf?" dont jump off of the ledge, there is an electrical switch to the big door below, proceed down the stairs via "electrical switch" you'll find the small weapons bobble head and other weapons, the bunker at the end of the armory is where the m.i.r.v is, use a camera glitch to open the door, there will be a "glowing one" in the bunker, the m.i.r.v is on the table in the middle!

glitch tutorial here: http://www (dot) youtube.com/watch?v=tMnr_ovRZoQ

OR if you don't want to glitch through the door you've got to find all of the tapes scattered around the wasteland which give the entry code. It was a certain family which was seperated and each member given a number; I wish I could remember the name of the family lol

but when you go down there it's so cool, everything is so neat and ordered and the MIRV is just so much fun
