3 means there might be a correlation between Metro and Fallout.

The writer of Metro 2033 says that he's a huge fan of Fallout, even basing some of the books on the Fallout world.

I would like to see Metro become the canon for Fallout's Russia (however unlikely)

In Metro 2033, there's too much radiation to live on the surface. They say in the book that it will take at least 50 years before they can try living up there again. By the time fallout is set in, anything could've happened.

Is Fallout 4 being made by Bethesda or that ************** Block Rock?

Also, do you think they'll try as hard now that they already have a fanbase and don't have to give a **** to live up to the original?

Jesus, I don't know what's sadder, the fact that the guy who made this decided to make an entire rant because Fallout 3 wasn't 100% perfect and exactly how he wanted it, or the fact that he actually devoted the time to making this picture. I mean ****, guys like these are the same sort of angry losers who throw hissy fits because video games are becoming more popular.
Not to mention the fact that very few of the points he touched on had anything to do with the lore, and the **** he did mention was bass-ackwards and idiotic. The BoS thing, for example. It says in the game that they decided to change their mission, and that the Outcasts left because of that decision. The guy is getting mad over a fully explained plot point.

In my opinion, Fallout 3 was not a perfect game, by any means. However, despite all the bugs, I found it to be very enjoyable and I don't see how the lore was supposedly bent over and assraped.

While that is odd. Bethesda Game Studios didn't make ESO.
My understanding, which is likely totally wrong, is that Zenimax Media owns Bethesda Game Studios (developer of TES, fallout 3, etc.), Zenimax Online Studios (the ****** who made ESO), and Bethesda Softworks (the publishing company).
So from what I understand, Zenimax Media created Zenimax Online Studios to develop ESO, which was published by Bethesda Softworks. Bethesda Game Studios had nothing to do with it, leaving them free to work on Fallout 4 or whatever.
Again, this might be a bit wrong, but I do know that BGS did not develop ESO. Maybe that has something to do with why they replied? idk

There have been other games, like Rage and Brink have been developed by other companies but published by Bethesda Softworks. Makes for a lot of confusing and misplaced "Bethesda sucked at making this game" and "Bethesda did great at making this game" haha

Regarding Dukov, there is a cancelled game called Fallout Extreme, which was supposed to take place, among other places, in China and Russia, so it's safe to say that people survived there. Not sure who was developing it though.

I don't want a mod though, I want a fully developed game and everything.

I've never heard or seen any kind of news about what happened outside of the US, did any other countries get nuked too? Did they survive? How hard were they hit?

All I'm saying is that while America may have a lot of landmarks and cool places that you can base a game, but honestly it's getting rather boring to see only America be the center of the series.

While I can sympathize with wanting to see how other countries fared in the Fallout universe, I can also see how there would be issues. Vault-Tec, the Enclave, the Brotherhood, the NCR...all of these major components of the lore are American-only things. Hell, even FEV, which played a role in the development of many of the mutants that span the wasteland (FEV didn't only affect the Super Mutants, there were also mutated airborne strains that got into the wastes), and the FEV was developed in secret by the American government.

If they did Fallout in another country, they would have to rebuild the lore and environments starting almost from scratch, and it would feel extremely different. I would definitely love to play those games, though, because I am also really interested in how the rest of the world fared, and the current lore doesn't say much.

tl;dr One one hand, making a Fallout game in another country would feel sort of like making a STALKER game outside of Ukraine or a Metro game outside of Russia, but on the other, finding out what happened to the rest of the world would be nice.

I think the best candidates for another country would be either China, Canada, Japan (or Skyrim mountain climbing simulator 2.0), Australia (which i'm certain it would have wildlife WAAYYY more deadly then deathclaws) or, what would probebly the best place, Madagascar

Canada would make the best realistic candidate, seeing as how on all simulations Canada avoids most fallout damage.

Nuking Japan is just insensitive. :/

Chinese wouldn't be too different, on account of their poor already doing ****** up things to each other.

Australia and Mad get best environment though, they should think of those two.

Outside of countries using Cyrillic we'd just write that as Dobki, or a variation that would be closer to the actual pronunciation. Like how an English map wouldn't use Москва.

;/ Gun controlled areas not good places to start a post-apocalyptic scenario.

Games based in America have a basis in reality because the everyman has a a firearm. There is already a significant amount of "prepper" villages that are pretty self-sustaining (have large food storages), or can be as soon as the power goes out (they own backup generators).

The people here have the required skills. European nations do not.
