In Fallout 3, I tried to be like the Brotherhood but they are a bunch of dicks so I fucked them up and joined the Outcasts. In New Vegas I fucked them up again just for Mr. House, I then killed Mr. House then joined the NCR.

I went into that game sucking NCR dick. Everything was for the NCR.

Legion was okay, but because I like to play as an actual part of the faction, it was hard as fuck with just a machete.

They're not really bad guys.

Their 'true form' is what they are in New Vegas.

They're in that grey area. They have a good purpose in principle, but it's outdated, pointless and their methods are questionable. However, they don't realise just how outdated their objective is.

New Vegas: help NCR kill the legion, get to vegas help Mr.House, kill Mr. House
Fight the legion, threaten to destroy the NCR if they don't leave. Ruler of New Vegas.
Friends with the brotherhood, the apocalipse fags, the boomers, the kings, all the cool kids... the game couldn't handle me.

I didn't think you could align with the Brotherhood with the Independent storyline? That'd be awesome, though.

and then with time you go to the BOS headquarters they have a struggle for leadership you have to do an extremly troll mission with some computers (must have science100 to start it) and then they ask for some technology either for crops, weapons or a WMA (the solar plant is also a weapon if you're not a nice guy) but i went for the crops tech and the weapon as i had like 3 in my inventory (the kid kept trolling me to buy one)

Dogmeat is your classic companion, and you can get him from the very start of the game.

Yeah, fawkes with his gatling laser is awesome but you get it until the end of the "main" quest.

I personally like more playing without a partner, since they seem to have infinite health in my game I felt like its cheating.
