Don't all atheists turn into trees after they die?
User avatar #43 to #28 - chuca (05/22/2013) [-]
atheistism is not one belief system, it simply means you don't believe in any god or gods

some atheists believe they turn into trees yes, most i imagine do not
User avatar #46 to #43 - eldinarcus (05/22/2013) [-]
It was kind of a Dane Cook reference.
User avatar #47 to #46 - chuca (05/23/2013) [-]

It's extremely good though, I mean for a fanfic it's quality of writing, the characters, everything is just superb. I would highly recommend it if you do get the time.
#34 to #33 - alucord (05/22/2013) [-]
I will. Its on my long ass list of things to do.

But, is it literally longer then LOTR
User avatar #36 to #34 - thisotherdude (05/22/2013) [-]
Here's the actually numbers:

FO:E = 607,282 words

LOTR = 468,420 words
User avatar #35 to #34 - thisotherdude (05/22/2013) [-]
Yes, someone actually did a word count for both it and LOTR when it was still about ten chapters from completion, FO:E is literally through a genuine word count longer than the LOTR trilogy.

Too bad you burn away almost all of the nutrition in your body when you get cremated so the tree can't grow as well. You'd be better off just laying the seeds on your chest and being buried in a linen wrap; that's what I'm going to have done.
#13 - Frozen_Hatred (05/22/2013) [-]
I would love to become a tree like that. Horrify everyone who comes near me.
User avatar #12 - paelaer ONLINE (05/22/2013) [-]
I would like to be mulched instead of cremated.

Which Fallout is this from?

This is from Fallout 3. In Fallout 1 and 2, he is a ghoul. Those two games take place in 2161 and 2241, respectively. and somewhere between fallout 2 and 3, Harold walks into the wastes and is rooted to the ground by Bob (Herbert) the tree.
User avatar #2 to #1 - jasmineandpeter (05/22/2013) [-]
Harold is in nearly all of the Fallout Games apart from New Vegas.
#20 to #2 - irokk (05/22/2013) [-]
But to further answer your question!

In Fallout 2, theres a side mission where you work with him and he falls into a vat of Radioactive waste. Ew! Gross! Your character continues on

In Fallout 3, you get another side quest that takes you to Harold, the Talking Tree! Wow! Cool! He tells this story and how the radioactive waste had made a tree start growing out of him, which eventually starts "talking" to him. Bummer!
User avatar #25 to #20 - thisotherdude (05/22/2013) [-]
Your info on 2 is wrong. Before Fallout 1 Harold and the guy who later becomes the master travel to Mariposa, The Master falls into the vat and Harold only gets splashed by it. You never actually get a quest where he falls into anything as all this happened before the events of the first fallout (and the second fallout takes place around 80 years after the first)
#26 to #25 - irokk (05/22/2013) [-]
I hadn't played Fallout 1 or 2, so i had decided to read the wiki about both of them. I'm sorry, I was just relaying what I read on there >_<
User avatar #29 to #26 - thisotherdude (05/22/2013) [-]
I see, no worries then. The lore behind Fallout does take a little time to get into (kind of like the lore from Dark Souls but nowhere near as extensive and vague)
User avatar #3 to #2 - padlochmcgee (05/22/2013) [-]
Oo i've only played new vegas :/
#4 to #3 - fasthink (05/22/2013) [-]
In the first two Fallout games he was just a ghoul with a small tree growing on his head. This is what happened, years later, in Fallout 3.
