The law is subject to interpretation.
I built a house for a judge, he was a smart guy but had no logic.
He could easily quote passages from most of the books in his library but there is no way he could reason with someone, go grocery shopping, or even understand a crescent wrench.
He was so far removed from the real world that he could barely function outside his chambers.
A judge has the power to overrule a jury's decision based on prejudice or preconceived notions but there is no liability if they are wrong.

judges only judge that the interpretation of the law is correct, they arent supposed to judge based on their oppinion or if something is unfair or not, and thats how law works and its good that way; maybe some can abuse the system, but for the majority of the population it means our faith does not depends upon the mood of a judge

Judges are just people too but my point is that they CAN make decisions based on less than ideal reasoning.
The law in north america doesn't work for that reason alone.
There are thousands of native americans here in canada that are murderers and multiple rapists but are allowed to be free as long as they show up for work (I had to hire a lot of them as part of a logging contract).
If they didn't show up at work, the RCMP came along and took them to jail.
A person of any other race would be locked up indefinitely for the same crime but a judge decided that these people were fit to live among us.
The system is broken, cops are not your friends, and if you can't protect yourself you are in trouble.

They SHOULDNT make decisions based on their reasoning, the point in the legal system is that is not a judge who is judging you, but the law, and the law is the same for everyone at least theoretically.
The system needs to be fixed?,yes of course, always, but that doesnt mean its corrupt or broken, we are constantly improving our system since the code of hammurabi was written, we cant deny we live in maybe not a perfect but a decent society still

It depends what you are going to school for. The universities here are stupidly expensive, the colleges are bad but not insane. I'm a fan of Alberta, between edmonto and calgary.
It is known as the land of easy money, that is why our resident population is going nuts while others are going down.
The system isn't your friend, just because you are innocent doesn't mean you can't be charged on a technicality.
A good example of this is that the police will drag their feet on a dangerous call or just call the swat team (which was never it's intended purpose) but press charges to their maximum for relatively minor infractions such as traffic violations.
Judges are the same way, they allow drug pushers and pimps off with a couple of months but then convict a mother of 3 for 3 years for vehicular manslaughter when she hits a nearly invisible running jaywalker at night.
America is apparently worse with such a high number of relatively minor convictions per capita.
