Anything in STEM(Science Tech Engineering Math) is a useful degree, many things in business will earn well, particularly accounting and finance, most things in Humanities and Fine Arts are useless unless you actually have serious skill in art or dancing or acting or whatever. Most of the Social Sciences are going to pay very low except for economics and maybe Political Science if you plan to go to law school.

Actually, many businesses take history majors nowadays, and my uncle (who runs a chem lab) says people with biology majors become waiters. I think you have to be open to change (moving to a different place, starting at a lower level, etc) and get some experience in the world before you get your 'dream job,' your major doesn't necessarily mean your stuck with what you got. I know someone who was an accounting major who went to med school.
