A lot of universities in Canada and the states use a 4.0 grading scale. So 4.0 would be the highest mark you could possibly get.

The actual work load isn't too bad, most of my time is spent studying rather than just doing pointless homework, which is really nice. I'm majoring in software engineering and the programming is just starting to get kind of hard even though were almost done with our second trimester.

Do you keep your notes forever? Are you gonna apply most of what you learned? What are you gonna be?

I'm not quite sure what type of career I want to pursue yet, but I would think that I would use most of what I learn in my programming classes quite a bit. Calculus and physics on the other hand, probably not as much. I think we're put through so many rigorous calc and physics courses so that when we stumble upon the basics calc or physics problems years down the road we'll still remember all of the basics because we had to use them so much.

Applications in my country start in april, so I haven't actually applied yet. Still preparing, though.
