My favorite example from the show is during one episode where Eddy says something along the line of "I bet it was Kevin..." to which Double D replies, "But Eddy, Kevin wasn't even in this episode..."

It's when the character in a TV show (or a movie) references the fact that he/she is in a TV show.
EG:
*Someone does something stupid*
Guy: Man this show couldn't get any worse...
