My friend' s girlfriend is cheating en him.
The two cf them are in the DIID group I run. We tolerated her because my friend brings her, but, put it simply, her brand cf evil is completely at odds with my brand cf evil. I dislike her en at a philosophical level, which is abaut as deep as I get.
I faund cut she cheated en him almost by chance, because the guy she' s cheating en him with is actually ene cf my coworkers. I' m pretty certain that she doesnt know that I know, and I' m almost dead certain that my friend has idea that he' s being cuckolded.
Now, thaw her brand cf evil. petty, crude, and anly satisfies her base desires. She' s breaking the foremast law cf a relationship, and my friend would be devastated find cut.
My brand cf evil is very self righteous. I didn' t bather trying tell my coworker step, since he went ahead and teld me everything and he' s net daing it spite my friend. I didn' t tell my friend abaut it either, because its all in a way his mm fault. I abviously didn' t tell the
girlfriend step, because I had a much, much better idea.

I charred the theme my campaign. Every inch the way, there' s seme sat betrayal. At first, I kept it pretty subtle, ta see if I cerld get any reaction cut her. I think I handled thirds pretty weakly, since whim seemed ta phase her.
Then, I straught forward an NFC healer. One these clerics that tag alera with the party and provide them extra healing, and I presented him as a "sinful clergyman.“ Married, but traveled with an party just he cerld sleep with ether wemen.
The ether players thaught he was pretty comical, but the girlfriend ended up making a mave I ' t expeted' mg. When the cleric came back frem em his nightly exploits, she berated him fer being unfaithful.
I pressed the issue, and actually went inte dialogue with her. My guess is that she wanted the cleric ta step targeting that I' d step mi wiry attention ta it, but her intention backfired. She tried ta cut the conversation shot, but her loyal boyfriend, wha was
always ready ta side with her, teek up her position and tried ta convince the cleric ta step being adulterers.
It was delicious. She actually started ta squirm a bit, listening ta her boyfriend say all kinds mm lines abaut the fidelity and then tum ta her, waiting fer her ta chime in with seme sat affirmation. But, I didn' t want this ta be used up
quickly, I cut the conversation shot, apparently in the interest moving the game forward.

I' m in a pretty wed position. I can keep scenes like this, that when he finally finds cut it will all just be much mere devastating and her betrayal will be much mere villainous. I can feign absolute ignorance, and if thirds somehow w against me I can say I acted in a manner ta put
pressure en the girl that she' d feel guilty and confess.
The adulterers cleric NFC went and werked its way ta being a majer part the stem. Eventually, my friend and his girlfriend managed ta convince the cleric ta take his marriage vows seriously, which net anly gave him a much mere serieus personality, but actually improved the pewter his healing spells
since he new had greater faith in his leve fer his wife).
And, guess wha the BBIG is ******* ‘? That‘ s right, the clerics wife! Wha ends up betraying her husband and the entire city!
The cleric is devastated, lases all his spells, and all the players are heated up in the BBIG as if it were him nailing all their wives. The cleric, newsest a packable ta the party, just fellers the party, muttering that he still levee his wife. My friend eventually got at the cleric,
saying that if he hadn' t left his wife alene, new this weild have happened.
I felt a little bad at that moment.

Edda, I had trebble with the girlfriend because even without us playing with alignments she weild spontaneously shift inte chaotic evil made fer m
but new whenever any mention adultery mum she stiffens up inte lawful wed fast that yau' d swear she was a paladin, as ta net have anyine accuse her being anythign ether than a strict oppenent all farms betrayal.
The prablem is, I' m running cut ideas that dent simply make me tum the game inte an endless series M. Night Shyamalan . Betrayal seems like an animeme theme, until we realize that the players step trusting everyine and everything. Of course, this is in a way very animeme (the anly
thiry they trust is each other, and my friend is wiry ta learn ta regret that), but ewe the betrayals start cellery, they begin ta lese their dramatic impact. A betrayal is really anly a betrayal if we dent see it bemire, and right new all my players are en high alert.
Right new, its seems like I' m wiry ta have ta sacrifice seme my Elvaire credibility fer awhile, andjust heave stacks abvious betrayal after abvious betrayal at the players, until finally the BBIG gets ta make his speech, where he says that everyine has betrayed them, including sameone within the
party. At that paint, I' ll single cut the girlfriend, have her try and convince the ether players that she' s loyal ta them, all while the NFC cleric and the BBIG try ta convince them otherwise.
