Hey so far you sound better than my DM. For example, just recently, my dm had just thrown in eggman as an antagonist, out of f*cking nowhere, who was trying to spread robots. All the while, pic happened from inside the giant dice that fell from the f*cking sky that was spewing the robots. That and sessions last two hours, and if we don't finish the fight within the two hours it's an auto win.

Man, you sound like you give effort with your sh*t, and have fun with it. I'm freaking jelly of you not bein' my dm.

We originally were supposed to have an overlord kinda setting where we were the big bads reset to level 1, but so far he has done his own derailment of epic proportions because 'lol so random! xD'. As soon as we think we're finally about to do something, female Dr. Facilier comes in tells us that we can now teleport, and then session over. That and his DMNPC is bowser.

Sometimes DMs dream bigger than they can make their game to be. I tried making every NPC connect and have a backstory and relevance, but it just didn't work. So I stuck with the handful the party had interacted with and kept the others in case I needed a random person.

Well, I understand that. From what I've seen about DMing you should be able to keep a structure, but be able to improvise a decent amount, like what you just said. Though what i'm salt about is that he advertised about all the stuff and then not get to any of it, and still railroad us like mad. He had ME make the map of the base, which he then approved of, but then goes and not touch it in the least in the multitude of sessions.

This is how the first session of Black Crusade went

>He's got way higher stats than them, and the artifact is homebrewed and overpowered

>Fails, has to flee the source of fear
>Everyone rolls higher initiative than him
>He's blasted with some psychic powers
>Ends up only being able to take half actions for 2 rounds
>Kinda stumbles backwards as he tries to run
>Gets gibbed by the party

I should just do only war again. Last time I did that a player wasted a fate point and lost an arm.

>And then gets hit in the same arm and loses it, and BURNS a fate point to not die
>Tank player starts panicking because there's like 3 lascannons firing at him

This might not be the right place but i'll continue anyways. So i have come to have a hatred of Paladin's, to the point where i dread the mention of anyone playing one or seeing one enter a story. I want to know has anyone else had a similiar problem and if so any solution. To list the things that annoy me about them. This is mostly in retrospect to pathfinder
1. Detect evil, 2 of the 3 long term paladins i have played with spammed this to the point of driving me insane whether i was GMing or not.
2. Lawful stupid and the people who believe it's a gm's fault if they challenge a Devil by them self and lose. They aren't fun to play with or gm with.
3. Resurrection, in pathfinder they can do this and it pisses me off. A paladin is a holy Knight, sure, be able to heal, cleanse, decurse and all that good stuff. But the thing that made you want to be a cleric was the better healing of course but also Resurrection and Miracles.
