So... You guys doing any online sessions
So, I've never played D&D and have only been playing The Dark Eye for a year and a half or so.
(For those who don't know it: The Dark Eye is a german ruleset with a pretty low-Fantasy setting, a bit like the Witcher, it's ******* complicated as hell but it gives you A LOT of stuff to build the character of your dreams.)
My question is if any of you guys are running online D&D sessions and if you would be willing to let a total noob play with you. I have mostly DM'ed up until now and I would love to play with someone who is actually good as a DM and learn by watching him. And I want to get out of the forever DM cycle for once.
The problems I see are the following:
- I'm from germany, and my english is a bit rusty. I like to think I'm fluent, but I'm not. (But I can probably cover that up by playing a Character who is from somewhere else who doesn't speak common that well or something.)
- Timezones. Playing with people from 'murica is borderline impossible.
- I have no idea how to play D&D, and I'm absolutely not into powerplay.
Oh, and I know Roll20.net or whatever it's called, I was just hoping I'd find someone to play with on good 'ol FJ.
