deathskream (08/08/2012) [-] I found it on several websites. I don't have money to play around with right now, so I'm seeing if I can find someone who has it, and trade for it. It does silly things, which is why I want it. And question, I'm trying to build a new edh deck, but I don't know if I should make it Boros colors or a mono blue deck. I have stupid ideas for both, like making Boros go Master Warcraft every turn or making mono blue Lorthos.

I play tons of EDH. I would recommend red/white. Even if you build monoblue with a fair general like lorthos, your deck will be more annoying to the other players, as monoblue usually is. Counterspells, bounce, etc. just annoy the rest of the table, and if your general is kira, venser, vendilion clique, or any REALLY annoying monoblue general, the table might just kill you right off the bat because most monoblue generals get obnoxiously overpowered. I'll kill someone playing arcanis, the omnipotent first, without knowing what their deck does, because I know they're gunna counter my spells, draw their entire deck, and combo the table out.
If you play red/white, use sunforger. It's one of their best equipment that lets you tutor up cheap spells at instant speed to answer stuff. You're attacking me? Well, I unequip sunforger to find and cast lightning helix or shatter or condemn. Plus, it lets you find master warcraft or brightflame at any time. It seems mediocre, but I run a Brian Stoutarm deck in which it feels like cheating.

deathskream (08/09/2012) [-] My friend has a tribal giant deck with Brion as the general. I've gone against it a few times and won a couple times. I run mostly Jund, my current general is Darigaaz. I have the other four RBG generals though. The idea has been floating around for a while now, I got a Balefire Liege, Firemane Angel, Waves of Aggression, Brightflame, and Glory of Warfare for the deck today. As of now, I only have three generals. Basandra, Jor Kadeen, and Gisela. And with Odric and a lot of token generation, I can go Master Warcraft every turn. I've made attempts before the release of M13, but since I don't have a lot of availability to a majority of the cards that make Boros so good, I just end up scraping the ideas. Also, I've never been too fond of running white. Something about it just makes me seem like a dick to the rest of the table. I usually run Jund and play some cards to benefit most of the table. Things like Omen Machine and a few others. Until, you know, I hit Primal Surge and accidentally my whole deck onto the field.

Well, my advice in that respect is just build what you want, and play a bunch of rounds with it, you will be able to tell pretty quickly if you're missing anything, or if certain strategies just don't work with the deck. My advice if you're going blue, ALWAYS have at least 1 Mind Control in there.

deathskream (08/08/2012) [-] Control is good. The idea was going to be tapping down all my opponents lands and creatures, with Lorthos and Frost Titan. Then swing with a bunch of Raven Guild Masters. Making them rfg the top 10 cards of their deck for each one.

I had a plan similar to that recently, actually. I wanted to make a W/U deck full of sleeps, narcolepsy, gideon's lawkeepers and stuff, with a full play set of sunblast angels.
tap all his **** , destroy, swing, until he gets too many creatures out, unsummon angel, repeat.

I'm leaning a bit more towards Boros colors, just so I can be an asshole to some people. Picked up a Balefire Liege, Glory of Warfare, Brightflame, and Waves of Aggression. Master Warcfrat every turn with Odric.
