The AD&D Stats Quiz says I have these stats:
STR:15 INT:17
WIS:15 DEX:16
CON:14 CHR:16
total is 93 3d8 hit die
+ 3 reflex as my strong save + 1 to the other two
I’d say I have a decent amount of experience, I do a full contact boffer medieval combat game called Dagorhir, and have done martial arts so my BAB is +2.75 (so 2?)
I’m 19 so my max skill is 4.75(so 4?)
Skills: Bluff, Diplomacy, Heal, Knowledge (nature), Perform, Sense Motive, Stealth, Survival, Swim, I’ll put 4 ranks apiece into all of the above.
Feats: Shield Proficiency (Combat), Armor Proficiency, Light (Combat), Combat Reflexes (Combat), Nimble Moves, Acrobatic Steps, Simple Weapon Proficiency (Combat)
As stated above, I fight on a fairly regular basis with realistically weighted weapons, I typically use a spear and dagger or a sword and shield as my “loadouts” so as spear dagger and one-handed swords are simple weapons I feel as though I’m proficient in shield and simple weapons, I also typically wear authentic leather armor. Im fairly fleet footed and have had training in martial arts and parkour thus the nimble moves and acrobatic steps.
For the items I would take with me, depending on my “genre awareness” if I know I’m going to a dangerous location I would bring
Waterproof backpack, filled with granola and energy bars, Thermal sleeping bag (-20C), first aid kit, shaky flashlight (the ones with the magnet that charges it), 3in boot knife, magnesium striker block (firestarter), book of waterproof matches, lighter, pack of cigaretes, change of clothes, waterproof jacket, Forest BDUs, wool socks, Phone, charger, Metal water bottle, cast iron skillet, 250’ spool of 550 para-chord olive drab, and my set of leather armor (2 Greaves, 2 full articulated arm pieces, Chest piece, I have no coverage from knee to hip, and no helmet but everything else is covered)
PS: I’m a military brat and typically have military surplus materials on hand, IE para-chord, knife, BDU’s etc., normally id also have MRE’s (just add water hot camping meals) but I don’t have any in my hous right now to justify adding them. I typically wear my armor for 12-13hours at a time, the weight and heat do not bother me anymore.
BDU’s (Ignore the patches)

Alright, has a when been set? I wont be able to next week due to Florida family trip, but after that I have school schedule. (8AM to 3PM)

I have my stats down, thank you comment >>#6, looking up feats and stuff I'd have, and I'll list items I'm bringing on the Florida trip, as it seems to fit the scenario that I planned for a trip but got sucked up to mushroom world.
#25 to #23 - grandemperorchaos [OP](08/03/2015) [-]
Time hasn't been set yet
As for classes n **** that will be explained in greater detail in the campaign itself

I'm definitely curious. Hate to bombard you with questions but I like to know what I'd be getting into.

When do you plan on holding the sessions?
How many players will be in the group?
Are mics required, or do you prefer that players type stuff out?
#17 to #16 - grandemperorchaos [OP](08/01/2015) [-]
I prefer that people have mics, but it is not required. As for number of people, anywhere between 3-8. When it will be held can be decided by everyone when we gather.
#15 - shadowbndg (08/01/2015) [-]
I would, but I've only played a few games of 5e and 2 of those ended up TPK and got our characters added to the game shops "Wall of Dead Characters"

I really like my Lightfoot Rogue ;.;
#3 - amuzen ONLINE (08/01/2015) [-]
I would but the last time I hooked up with a DND group on this site it was

A DM who prided himself on his mastery of rail roading and the fact that he was just 'winging' everything. Who also happened to be 300 pounds, was wearing a fedora, was 30 and his mom would yell at him every 10-20 minutes, and he had a MLP poster the background of his room, I don't mean to be a hater but c'mon

A guy who prided himself on his amazing ability to minimax (which roughly translates to look up a couple of cheater breaks in the system on the internet and abused the **** out of it so that he could command the rest of the party around) 16 y/old kid, tall, pasty generic nerd nothing really wrong with this one except he had an irritating as **** voice and he loooooooooooooooooved to metagame and try to pvp

a guy who 'didn't really know how to play' so he'd misread all his **** to get super powers and whenever he was called out on it he'd have a handy excuse.

and someone who dropped out at the last moment after two weeks of prep.
#4 to #3 - grandemperorchaos [OP](08/01/2015) [-]
Well cuz mine mostly rely on the players exploring I have to make **** up when you guys do something I didn't expect. Otherwise do you think your own real life self can survive a fantasy world? If so you could try this. And I only weigh 250 pounds without a fedora. With a fedora I weigh 250.2 pounds
#7 to #4 - amuzen ONLINE (08/01/2015) [-]
decided to try using 3.5 rules to make me I came out as
human, expert level 2
str 12
dex 7
con 12
int 13
wis 10
cha 9
leaving me with 40 skill points invested as
Survival 2, Craft sketching (4), craft computer graphics (3), craft sculpting (2), craft carpentry (2), Profession fishing (1), knowledge nature (2), knowledge history (1), knowledge arcana? I don't know what knowledge of stories, legends, and fantasy **** would be (3) intimidate (1), swim (1), climb (1), bluff (3), forgery (3), diplomacy (2), jump (1), listen (2), perform (story telling) 2, perform (acting) 2, hide (1), move silently (1).

feats: Run, exotic weapon proficiency; Bastard sword, I don't technically qualify for this feat but I took a year of kendo as a kid me and my and a friend would sword fight with Bokken/Shinai from when I was 12 to 20 so I'm know my way around a sword fairly well.
#5 to #4 - amuzen ONLINE (08/01/2015) [-]
how would classes work with your real life self? like how would we determine level? are we keeping stats at the average of 10-11? it's an interesting concept
#6 to #5 - grandemperorchaos [OP](08/01/2015) [-]
First off figure up your ability scores by taking a simple test here; www.kevinhaw.com/add_quiz.php

After that add up your total number of ability scores to get you total number of hit dice. 61-70 is 1d6, 71-80 is 1d8 , 81-90 is 2d8, 91-100 is 3d8. and so on.

After that we can get on to your base saves. Pick one save as your best one, Fortitude, Reflex, or Will. Your best save is equal to 1/2 your number of hit die +2. Your other 2 saves are equal to 1/3 of your number of hit die.

Your base attack bonus depends on your level of combat training and experience. If you are a warrior you get full Bab. If you can kinda fight you get 3/4 of your number of hit die as your Bab. If you can't fight at all your Bab is equal to 1/2 of your number of hit die.

Your skills are decided by your skills. Your maximum number of ranks in a single skill is equal to 1/4 of your age.

As for feats, just grab what you can do and qualify for.

Items. Grab what you can carry by yourself that you own.

The class is Human.
#9 to #6 - amuzen ONLINE (08/01/2015) [-]
Holy crap ok that was a surprising result for the test I got,
str: 16
int: 17
wis: 12
dex: 11
con: 13
chr: 8
total: 77
Hit die: 1d8
I'm gonna choose Will as my strong save so +2 to will.
I can kinda fight (I don't have a ton of formal training and I've only been in a couple throughout my life so +0 BAB
I'm 21 so the max for any of my skills is 5.
I'm just gonna use the skill list I had above since it kind of makes sense.
Feats... You're a little vague on how that works, are you saying grab ALL the feats I qualify for that make sense or just the 2 that fit me best? and what if I don't technically 'qaulify' for a feat but it makes sense with my history?
Feats that make sense for me are: endurance, run, weapon proficiency Bastard sword, Power attack, and improved bullrush. I can't imagine I could take all of those.

As for items that's sort of vague, do you mean just like items that I normally carry around all the time or did I get to plan for this trip to a magical alternate dimension or was I planning for a trip in general?
#10 to #9 - grandemperorchaos [OP](08/01/2015) [-]
The magical trip was planned kinda. Not really planned, but however you got there it was nice enough to let you take some of what you own with you. As for feats If you can do that IRL and qualify for it you can take it.
#11 to #10 - amuzen ONLINE (08/01/2015) [-]
what if you don't qualify for em till next level but you can do it IRL? should I just say that I'm the 'warrior' type so that I qualify for them all or pick em up naturally over the next 8 levels?

I think I still need a bit more context on the trip to know exactly what I'm bringing.
do I know it's going to a dangerous alternate reality?
Do I think I'd be able to readily return home?
How long do I think I'll be leaving for?
Do I have time to go out and buy stuff for the trip or do I just bring what I got at home at the moment?
How much do I know about where I'm going? do I know if it's warm or cold or mountainous? do I know I'm going to be dealing with fungus?

#12 to #11 - grandemperorchaos [OP](08/01/2015) [-]
You don't have time for shopping and you have no Idea if you can get back. You could be gone for the rest of your life. Which could be 30 minutes. As for weather, try to figure it out based on what info you got about the world, what was in the post
#13 to #12 - amuzen ONLINE (08/01/2015) [-]
