Journey to the Frozen Mountain
A little Background before we begin this epic of a tale. First off lets meet the Characters of this campaign first off is our Human Fighter, his name is Gunner he is Chaotic neutral and one hell of a tank. Next is Razmas, a first timer rogue who is learning the ropes in some weird ways. Third is Mayo an experienced Cleric who helps me out while I try to trouble shoot the craziness that is Roll20. Fourth is Morgar (Not quite sure on the spelling) our Goliath Barbarian. Last but not least is our second rouge Dr. Shultz, he had some difficulties with a character generator and is now this abomination of stats (He has really low dex for a rogue). The players start in a small town thats supplies and other goods are transported by boat along a river right next to the town. There is one problem though, the river is dried up and it is up to the players to find out the cause of this unexpected drought.
This story starts off after the players had just killed a few kobolds who were holding a man captive. After the battle the group realizes the man is a Slave named Duncan. Duncan informs them of a trading post/tavern not too far from their location. A few of players wanted to leave Duncan for dead but, after what seemed hours, they came to the conclusion to allow Duncan too follow.
At the trading post/tavern there was a slave auction and the man selling slaves noticed Duncan almost immediately and asked the players about the kobolds who originally owned him. After a series of failed rolls the players resort to muscle and try to intimidate the man selling slaves. This is where **** hits the fan after the some (not all) of the players finally threatened the man’s life a few bystanders started to step in. The bystanders now surrounded the group causing a cluster **** of checks and attempts to reason. Finally the group decides to intimidate but, only a few actually succeeded and by few I mean all but one. The small mob was now surrounding our Dwarf Cleric, Mayo, and racially assaulting him as this is all happening our rogue Razmas (the successful one) tries to steal the key from the man selling the slaves so he can release the slaves. Razmas fails and the man turns, as the man turns Razmas took another check to make it seem like he was trying to grab the man’s ass (yeah first hour and a half in the game and we had already reached this point). The man turns and smiles at Razmas, now instead of just acting like he wasn’t interested he plays along creating another problem off the main problem. Now we have a Dwarf being harassed by a bunch of of assholes and a slave auctioneer being our Rogue a drink. During all of this Dr. Shultz or fail of a rogue is trying to fix a crossbow he found on a dead kobold.
After the Dwarf is kicked out of the trading post/tavern the players focus on helping Razmas out of the little fling he had landed himself in. Gunner is now trying to aid Razmas by dueling the man but, the man wants NOTHING to do with Gunner he is too focused on wooing Razmas. In a rage Gunner picks up a bottle and knocks the man unconscious. The bar keep tells the players that he will tell them anything they need to know if they just leave. The players are directed towards the slave trade to the east.
part 2 coming soon.
