So in my 3.5 campaign I'm playing a sorcerer for the first time, and I want to prestige him into Master of Masks. I really like the lore behind this. I know bard is a better prerequisite than the sorcerer, but I want to play an impactful caster.

With all that being said, does anyone have a good idea for feats or races? I've never played a sorcerer before and I want to build a somewhat decent character (since I know that MoM shafts my caster lvl)

It's a character of level 8: 5 levels sorcerer, 3 levels MoM

Gimme any ideas you got

you can play as normal orc, just follow what it says in the MM

not knowing exactly how you want to go about it, the main advice i can think to give is to take a look at the Dragon Magic splatbook. There are more sorcerer specific feats in that book than any other, so it will give you a lot of options.

I dont really know much gaming-wise, but if youre looking for a fun non-generic character, try and base their personality on Henry from Fire Emblem Awakening.

Your typical Harbinger of death and destruction, but never stopping smiling or cracking jokes. Nicest guy in the world, as well as sadistic blood knight. Couldnt ask for a better friend, only working with you so he can throw fireballs at bad guys. Brilliant father and husband, wouldnt think twice about sacrificing live animals just so that you could get a good nights sleep.

I already had a character concept for this guy, which is a retired actor, now seeking to travel the world and available for hire for infiltration missions. He never shows his face, only wearing masks to disguise himself.

But I like the idea that you described. I'll probably use that on some evil paladin I still have lying around.

Of course, all PHB, Complete and Magic Item Compendium are allowed. For the rest it's very debatable. The only thing that is not allowed are dragon magazines, sourceless stuff and the Belt of Battle item.
