List of Past Major Campaigns that I DM'd in chronological order (the Quosirim Wars happened long ago. See the document about it.):
The Salvation of Tanceland ( Napoleon, LeRoy, and Sam saved Tanceland from Prince Yohon Zeta and his clone army)
The Misadventures of Zirex Gazban ( the son of legendary NPC, Death Gazban, leaves home for the first time, kills hundreds of opponents, and returns a rich, married man)
The Scourge Wars (approximately 10-20 players participated in a 3 year(in game) slugfest all over the Mid-Continent, but Cole did the most as Deserok Gormogon)
The Ascension of Deserok Gormogon ([ Cole ] Deserok fought the Scourge, the Tarrasque of Legend, and Quosirtrim himself, and became a deity as a result)
Darkness Rising (players attempted to thwart the Triumvirate on the Western Continent and met with limited success )
Heroes of Burzland ( Tyler, Wyatt, and John took a break from the politics of the wider world and saved a kingdom on the Eastern Continent from the predations of Mordo the Black. Sequel possible.)
Secrets of the World - Sequel to Darkness Rising (many players participated in this race against the Triumvirate to reach the Secrets first. Some Secrets were learned, but the goal of the Campaign wasn't achieved. Whoever completes this Campaign gets to change the entire Campaign Setting.)
The Start of the Quosirim Wars (almost done. Players counterattacked the Imperial Army and are going to take a major Quosirim fortress. Sequel possible.)

I wish I could have campaigns in DnD without it devolving to people getting their Dick tied together and dragons not getting sodomized

It really depends on the party and the GM how that turns out. everyone being on the same page stops one or two people at the table causing a serious game to turn ******* or a big damn heroes game angsty.

The GM generally has first and last say though, it's their campaign being run and they can usually find another party willing to play their premise. Just talk to everyone, discuss it and try to come to an agreement about what you and they want out of the game.
If there's no way to compromise it's probably better for the outliers to step out than suffer through it.

last night i was awarded a ring of three wishes for being the only person in our party (level 12) to hit a level 55 NPC. The NPC offered us a treasure if we were able to hit her once in single combat. i was the only one to hit her with a Nat 20.

any plans for the wishes?
User avatar #12 to #11 - dreadscythe (11/21/2015) [-]
1. to make my pet wolf a direwolf mount cause i've always wanted one
2. wings of fly magic item just cause
3. cloak of charisma magic item for my sword which uses my charisma bonus instead of my strength bonus
User avatar #13 to #12 - neverborn (11/21/2015) [-]
sweet, cloak seems weird though, aren't ability score improving items get rather common or at least buyable? (unless it's some crazy unique overcharged version, which would actually make sense)
User avatar #14 to #13 - dreadscythe (11/21/2015) [-]
we can buy them but they are expensive and most of our money was lost when our party leader lost all of his magic items from the dedck of many things which included his handy haversack with our party loot and money. we were pissed
User avatar #15 to #14 - dreadscythe (11/21/2015) [-]
but the cloak does give a sweet bonus of plus 6 which would make my score 24 total
User avatar #17 to #15 - neverborn (11/21/2015) [-]
that's cool

don't do decks of many things kids, they'll ruin your life.

Only encountered them once myself: a pathfinder game run by a first-time mad GM who loved random chance, we got like 3 different decks and I ended up getting the same (proposed to by an influential genie) result 3 times, GM ruled It was only one entity but each time it was rolled it got more powerful/influential in it's court and displeasing it would be appropriately worse.

So I did the appropriate thing and got hitched, kitted out my new bride with gear, created a water-based demiplane for us to call home and took her on adventures (the campaign sadly ended soon after)

when i pulled from it (2 cards) i got a dread wraith on my first card and the most powerful weapon in our game called the sword of light. i am now an irreplaceable member of our party called the swordsman of light
User avatar #20 to #19 - neverborn (11/21/2015) [-]
no doubt it was handy for fighting the wraith

oh yeah not to mention our DM's tendency to roll 1's against me especially in that fight. He said he got like 3 in a row

I just finished DMing a Dungeons and Dragonballs campaign based off pathfinder and homebrew rules. Set 1000 years after DBGT. It took us 3 years to finish the main story. 2 saiyans, a namekian, and a demon. They started being dumb enough to getting knocked out by squids, but finished being strong enough to take down gods.... It's a helluva story.

Hell yeah dude! The longer the party stays together the longer that story will stick in their minds. After that game I can honestly say that my DnD group is some of my best friends.
You guys using a site? Tell me about their game?

were using roll 20 right now. currently the group ive had since the beginning is a human psion, a human paladin, and a leonen monk. (lionman) weve also had 3 clerics 2 wizards 2 barbarians a rogue and a fighter that have joined and fallen out with the eception of one of the clerics who is still around. the story is basicly of a group of random adventurers dragged into a shadow war between a cult and an world wide peacekeeping group. the cults goals are to summon their god to purge the world. this is a game based on a campaign i ran before so i set it 20 years in the future. theyve gone from simple adventurers, to specters the peacekeeping forces of the artooria council, to a king and his elite guard. currently their stuck in a far off land after being sold into slavery and forced to fight in the pits.

the enemy is the cult of nihlus led by the charismatic Vex. a man weilding a devistating power with a cunning to match who has seen his plans fail and his forces defeated long enough hes beginning to lose his sanity

I'm working on a proposition that will make D&D, Pathfinder, Warhammer 40k tabletop and many others available to the public masses. If you want it made, and you have experience with tabletop games, let me know.
