DnD 5e Halp

Hey everybody,

Some friends and I are looking to do a DnD campaign. There are a few things we need to decide, but I am curious what sort of medium we could use to do it online. Skype? Or is there a nice client? A free method would be preferred.

Secondly does anyone know where we could get the handbooks online for 5e? I have them somewhere on my computer, but I managed to lose track of them.
