Current Happenings
So just kinda wanted to vent, I'll start you with some history.
>Been playing a 4e roll20/Facebook campaign
> Playing Deaf Eladrin Mage, had dragon blood in her but all it did was make her born deaf, though her powers may have been more natural to her do to this.
>Some players are kinda jerks
>One guy killed a baby so he could summon an elemental, even though we all said we were trying to stop him
>DM allowed him to do it regardless of our dissent
>Player had the PC disappear due to our rage
>Same player later brought smugglers into our group
>I was the duergar dictator's archmage (forced)
>Realized if we were found out, not only would I be killed, my friends, family, and the orphanage I grew up in would be killed.
>Dictator kept a close eye on me, had soldiers watching me and the occasional scry sensor would pop up.
>Knew I didn't have much time before I'd be found out
>Using my magic, a few OP items, and a elemental dragon's egg I was able to Aloha Snackbar the Dictator, killing him and all of his guards at the cost of my own life.
>Suddenly DM is pissed off cus I did it, as is the rest of the party.
>Another PC leaves becuase he fears dying from carelessness of rest of the party
>Party ambushes rest of duergar troops, turns rebellion around with the leader gone
>Later on
>DM takes my character, ressurects her without my knowledge.
>Party didn't think to use magical means to gather ashes to raise dead, they figured it was a lost cuase
> A cult/revolutionaries brought her into the fold, told her they had a demon who could help them overthrow the nobility and give landcrest to the people
>I'm not playing her, DM turned her into an NPC so we find all of this out later.
>She says she'll help them, secretly using her rituals to create an army of elementals and trap the demon when he comes through the portal, weakining him enough so party can go get the magic item to banish him
> Revolutionaries take the nobles hostage, we go to save them
>I'm playing a warlord focused in only commanding allies, buffing them while granting them basic attacks
>Demon is summoned, tries to fireball us
>Nothing happens
>Dramatic reveal when my old character shows up, taking on smaller demons the bigger one summons.
>We fight cult and rescue nobles while this goes down
> We flee city, her familiar tells us to seek an artifact to banish him
> We go through the process, get artifact, banish demon, send in armies to finish off everything
>During the process, the same player who has killed a baby has also beaten up a young kid becuase he had armor similar to his dead friends, and is being generally angsty
>player's being a dick to everyone
>My PC has been working to be known as a leader, gained a powerful artifact, my PC is also of nobility
>Good chance to become ruler
>DM decides to introduce NPC last minute, says hes a "Hero of the people and of noble blood"
>After battle a priest of Bahamut has a vision in which guy is king, therefor new guy gets to become king
> Given back control of my mage, the new "King" approaches her to ask her if she wants to be his archmage
>She's already been forced to be one dictators archmage and was forced to kill prisoners, seen other good people die by his hand, and she has lived under a dictators oppression all her life
>She had her own plans to rule but it was ruined by the other player
>She mimics the Monty Python "Help I'm being oppressed bit"
>King storms off in annoyance after 2 posts of her arguing with him slightly
>She calls out to the crowd to show the fualt of their leader
>DM becomes incredibly pissed off for no reason, it's not directed towards him
>Other player starts egging him on, saying things like "Bring down the pimp hand"
>DM decides no one cares about by trouble making
>Okay, no big deal, they are right to not do that
>DM says my mage decides to leave the town permanently
>Uhh what?
> Says I don't get to play my character anymore
So, apparently I play in a campaign where Baby killing and beating up an innocent are OKAY, but making fun of the king? Not cool man. You can't ever make fun of an NPC in this world
