Anyone running any tabletop rpgs that don't mind taking in a couple of players? I have half of a campaign of DnD 3.5 experience as well as the Pathfinder noob campaign, friend hasn't played tabletop rpgs before but he's not stupid.

Sorry for posting on your post but it's been weeks and I've got no replies on tabletop board or vgb

add a new villain called the avenger of bones. he hunts down and kills people who **** around with the dead bodies of his ancestors or some **** like that
User avatar #44 to #43 - raeptiemx [OP](08/02/2015) [-]
This sounds like my rogue's greatest fear
User avatar #45 to #44 - sideism (08/02/2015) [-]
oh, another great idea: the avenger of bones will use the left femur to kill him
User avatar #46 to #45 - raeptiemx [OP](08/02/2015) [-]
oh god thanks so much. That rogue is defo ****** now
User avatar #76 to #46 - nagelbites (08/04/2015) [-]
A little late but you could give the avenger of bones the ability to telekineticly control skeleton bones and he could use the power to attack with the femurs. could also make it a lich
User avatar #54 to #43 - samyek (08/03/2015) [-]
So a Paladin of Pharasma or the Raven Queen? Someone whose deity wants the dead to be able to rest in peace.
#55 to #43 - anon (08/03/2015) [-]
>"or some **** like that"
User avatar #37 - berengar (08/02/2015) [-]
Upon reanimation, two skeletons will fuse together at the hip to form one large duel skeleton. quadruple sword wielding anyone?
User avatar #38 to #37 - raeptiemx [OP](08/02/2015) [-]
GODDAMMIT ALL OF THESE ARE GREAT IDEAS
User avatar #39 to #38 - sideism (08/02/2015) [-]
seriously though, it doesn't take that creative of DM to come up with simple **** like this.
User avatar #41 to #39 - raeptiemx [OP](08/02/2015) [-]
I'm new to this plus I wanted to see what the community of FJ thought about it
User avatar #31 - daranoid (08/02/2015) [-]
the skeletons all hop around and attack the nearest town. Their irregular movements makes the attack a success because the guards didn't know how to defend against it.
User avatar #32 to #31 - raeptiemx [OP](08/02/2015) [-]
mm yes that sounds diabolical enough
#33 to #32 - daranoid (08/02/2015) [-]
glad I could help with my brain-parts

oh **** Red Son content!!!
User avatar #40 - sideism (08/02/2015) [-]
have all the skeleton bones fuse together in a massive ryu kokki style undead obomination
User avatar #7 - hashtronaut (08/02/2015) [-]
This made absolutely no sense to me until I seen what channel it was posted under.

Now it still doesn't make any sense but at least I know why.
User avatar #9 to #7 - raeptiemx [OP](08/02/2015) [-]
the rogue of the adventure company thinks its nice to mess with me and the game by stealing the thigh bone from the skeletons found in the coffins inside the dungeons. He feels like I'm going to rise a skeleton army against him so he messes it up. I don't know how he figured it out but now I want revenge.
#12 to #9 - thatnamelessguy (08/02/2015) [-]
To be fair the whole 'rising skeletons' thing is kind of obvious.
User avatar #13 to #12 - raeptiemx [OP](08/02/2015) [-]
I never intended it to though. The dungeon they were going through was just a tomb for warriors. I never wanted this to get started but now I want payback
#14 to #13 - thatnamelessguy (08/02/2015) [-]
And maybe once the lich realises this flaw in skeletons, he'd focus on more powerful things, perhaps?
User avatar #15 to #14 - raeptiemx [OP](08/02/2015) [-]
Oh he will; He has a whole army to recruit.
#16 to #15 - thatnamelessguy (08/02/2015) [-]
Maybe he'd even go for psychological warfare.. Child skeletons or zombie children?
User avatar #17 to #16 - raeptiemx [OP](08/02/2015) [-]
Oooh! I was mostly thinking of rising a Githzerai army thanks to his psionics but this sounds even better! All the firstborns are committed for the Lich Lord!!!
#18 to #17 - thatnamelessguy (08/02/2015) [-]
They don't even need to volunteer!
User avatar #19 to #18 - raeptiemx [OP](08/02/2015) [-]
All hail the grand master! Middle school teacher lich!
#20 to #19 - thatnamelessguy (08/02/2015) [-]
Don't be silly. Zombies don't need an education.
User avatar #21 to #20 - raeptiemx [OP](08/02/2015) [-]
fair enough.
#22 to #21 - thatnamelessguy (08/02/2015) [-]
They just need to hit hard. Either to the PC's body or mind.
User avatar #23 to #22 - raeptiemx [OP](08/02/2015) [-]
hmm, thanks for the input!
#24 to #23 - thatnamelessguy (08/02/2015) [-]
No problem. Would magic allow them to speak at all? May help if they announce they don't want to die or something.
User avatar #25 to #24 - raeptiemx [OP](08/02/2015) [-]
maybe telepathically. Sending different messages to each PC to mess with them
#26 to #25 - thatnamelessguy (08/02/2015) [-]
Try to avoid having the PC's feel like they have done the right thing by killing them. But be careful not to scare the players themselves too badly
User avatar #27 to #26 - raeptiemx [OP](08/02/2015) [-]
I want to mess with their minds so that they know to respect the dead and not to steal the legs. If he keeps going at it...well let's say he will be sorry. Nah kidding, it's a funny gimmick he has; I'll let him at it.
#28 to #27 - thatnamelessguy (08/02/2015) [-]
I wonder if he'll react to having desecrated the bodies of who knows how many heroes with no results to show for it.
User avatar #29 to #28 - raeptiemx [OP](08/02/2015) [-]
Well I'm thinking he will have to run out of the dungeons and he is over encumbered with the bones. Or one of the coffins is booby trapped
#30 to #29 - thatnamelessguy (08/02/2015) [-]
Well if they're holding the bones of a hero they probably would be.
User avatar #11 to #9 - hashtronaut (08/02/2015) [-]
alrighty then
User avatar #71 - bakinboy ONLINE (08/03/2015) [-]
skeletons are actually good. skeletons rise and try to help people but asshole rogue took their bones.
people now hate him
User avatar #42 - kurodaniyamame (08/02/2015) [-]
Same thing was happening in a game I was in. I spoke with the Necromancer privately, and his response was to utilize my psion's crystals to create a special heart that would animate every bone separately. It made a cloud of swirling bones and just battered and bludgeoned the rogue into the dirt.

DM was kinda happy, as the mission was to make sure that the Lich that hired us was able to animate the skeletons and utilize them, a bit hard when their spine was missing.

Just sorta throw in a Crystal that, upon the rogue touching, activates, and teleports the skeletons and all the bones to it, before disassembling them and bludgeoning him over the head a bunch.
User avatar #35 - sideism (08/02/2015) [-]
have each individual limb of every single skeleton count as a seperate enemy and have them attack him
User avatar #36 to #35 - raeptiemx [OP](08/02/2015) [-]
oh god yes!!! I love that!
#1 - thatnamelessguy (08/02/2015) [-]
That's ******* genius. Throw something big at him from a hidden passage or something. I don't know.
User avatar #2 to #1 - raeptiemx [OP](08/02/2015) [-]
I was thinking the skeletons were getting transplants by killing off the humans from the nearby village.
#3 to #2 - thatnamelessguy (08/02/2015) [-]
Do they have the time to do so? And if it's someone controlling them instead of random skeletons, why not skip the replacement bones and go straight for replacement skeletons? Unless said skeletons were made stronger in some way.. Hint hint.
User avatar #4 to #3 - raeptiemx [OP](08/02/2015) [-]
Well there's a lich involved in the campaign. He might have gotten pissed off that his skeleton army misses their legs.
#5 to #4 - thatnamelessguy (08/02/2015) [-]
Then he'd probably find ways to alter the existing skeletons and get more to spite the ones trying to sabotage his army.
User avatar #6 to #5 - raeptiemx [OP](08/02/2015) [-]
the rogue has got it coming
#8 to #6 - thatnamelessguy (08/02/2015) [-]
I wonder if skeleton golems are a thing.. A leg made of torsos. No need for a femur.
User avatar #10 to #8 - raeptiemx [OP](08/02/2015) [-]
that's a good idea too!
User avatar #94 - trueminus (09/01/2015) [-]
Have them form into a skeleton made of femurs and beat the **** out of him with his own femur.
#93 - anon (08/21/2015) [-]
have the skeletons fly and beat him with their other legs
User avatar #92 - lesolan (08/11/2015) [-]
What is he doing with the bones? If he is keeping them with him, then all you have to do is have something really big that feeds on carrion come after him because it is attracted by the scent of so much death.
#91 - anon (08/11/2015) [-]
Femurs in his back begin to shake. The spirits, angry at being disturbed, combine the bones into a giant femur skeleton that really hates their captor.
#78 - anon (08/09/2015) [-]
A lot of people play it as either since its a magical creature you cant take the bones but also if the skeletons try to reanimate the bones no matter where will try their damn best to get back to their bag of bones
User avatar #75 - rollmeanddie (08/03/2015) [-]
Have all the skeletons connect at the spine as some super skeleton snek.
User avatar #74 - rollmeanddie (08/03/2015) [-]
The skeletons spin their legs really fast to fly around upside down and claw at his face.
#73 - anon (08/03/2015) [-]
The stolen femurs fuse together to create a giant skeleton.
#72 - toothface (08/03/2015) [-]
Would it matter? Skeletons already move exclusively by some external force, so by that logic simply removing a bone would just weaken them a little, right? Like, their skeleton is already help upright by something of a telekinetic force or something.
#70 - anon (08/03/2015) [-]
Make the party separate and the skeletons rise into one entity to punish that who disturbed their eternal rest and watch the thief grief his decision.
