Finally uploading Gnolls for those who have been asking, they barely eeked out a win over Dragonkin while Dwarves and Werecritters shared only 35% of the votes.

By the way if anyone is looking for a very specific look for something let me know and I'll see what I have/can find to help with that.
Bit of a request for artsy people out there, I'm pretty terrible at even coloring between the lines would anyone mind coloring this in for me? A green/purple color scheme would be awesome.
The eternal question: clean and potentially cute gnolls, or sobering half demonic monstrosities?
Pictured here is my gnoll druid and a tiefling ranger (the ranger's player commissioned the art). Yes the eagle is wearing a cowboy hat. Always remember to specify things when commissioning art or else the artist will draw what they think you meant.
That's some really nice art!
I like more of the pure evil gnolls because I stick with the "spawn of an an insane evil god that encourages rape, slavery, cannibalism, and cruelty" approach.
I've used a lot of Gnolls in my campaigns and it's always felt 'right' to have them behave like tribalistic animists with social structures and style resembling hyenas over anything else, unless they're being manipulated by some more intelligent creature.
all these **** gnolls looks like the standard CR1/2 trash
MAYBE CR1
all except this ************ right here, He looks terrifying af
this pic just kindled my appreciation for these dogs going to use this in my campaign, thanks ******
Vindictus was one of my favorite rpg games and I have probably played it for over a year. I haven't played it all too much recently, but it is a lot of fun in a guild and I would definitely recommend it
Pic is one of my favorite characters, Lann. He dual wields either swords or spears and completely ********* up with his agility and attack speed
Yeah but i couldn't really see them back in those days but my mind created a sort of hyena type creature to associate them with. I'm quite proud that it was relatively accurate.
I had this great idea to make a gnoll Paladin, raised by humans, who was like always struggling between his feral, hysteric gnoll heritage and his holy, patient human upbringing. So he vented on monsters and undead. And he fought like a Final Fantasy "dragoon," jumping on people with a spear, then standing on their body and laughing his ass off.
We're not playing D&D at the moment. About to get started in a SotDL ( Shadow of the Demon Lord ) campaign, so our options are a little more limited. I am thinking of playing an orc priest ( orcs in this game are partially evil by default ), though faun rogue is my second choice (depending on team composition).
I'm sorry. The game is new; we got it off kickstarter. I think it's distributed now, so your local game store might have a copy. You should at least look at the artwork. It's a very dark horror medieval fantasy setting, where corruption and insanity and mortality are all a little more defined.
I'm a little apprehensive because we're playing with my fiance's parents, and some of the spells and curses are a little mature. It's a very immersive kind of setting where much of what's written is more about background information and environment, and less about the stats and defined abilities.
That sucks.
I assume it's more likely to find in the South-East USA, but I'm not sure how it's distributed. Good luck finding it. Maybe check online if you want to get into it.
Good question, in many settings they're the descendants of Yeehongu a demonic lord/god who happens to resemble a hyena. Gnolls are to hyenas as dragons are to dragonborne.
