I have like, 6000 wins + 5800 losses in league, which sums up to more than 4k hours, I'ts not that hard to get tbh, a couple of matches a day ( like 5+) a day for 5+ years

I have 3300 hours in it, and almost none of it is by leaving it on.

It's a great game. The people that don't like it are just the ones who can't handle it's learning curve.

either that or people that have already gotten into a different Moba. It's actually surprisingly hard to just swap between moba's I've found. I play Dota one for like 2 years, quit for a year, picked up league, played that for 3 years, tried to get into dota 2 and just couldn't. There was just to much ******** stuff in it that straight up felt like it made it no fun. Chief among them was it's completely toxic community, obnoxiously long stun times, and the dwarven snipers ability to kill me from more than a screen away inside the fog of war.

If your complaints are sniper's ult and stun times you were never all that good to begin with. Synergy is key, sniper is a meh hero, and if your team can't deal with stuns your team sucks (linkens and bkb git gud).

No offense man, but that just means you're bad. Not being toxic here, but if you complain about Sniper's ult, which can be countered by a 50g item, then it just shows you're not very good at the game, so naturally it wouldn't be fun for you.

But I do agree that switching between games like these can be hard. I've tried Smite and HotS, and I found them boring.

Considering all the *********** , rude teammates and dumb ***** playing the game, it's actually incredibly addictive. I can't tell you exactly what keeps you coming back those first 100 hours, but let me tell you, if you actually reach that point, there's no going back to your old life. Basically when i didn't have too many friends, Dota (i started off around 6 years ago with the wc3 dota) was something to do, it gave you a definite goal, I.E. destroy the throne/world tree (or ancients, doesn't matter). So just for that one hour, you're completely focused on killing your opponents and winning, and let me tell you how good it feels to come back after having your **** stomped the entire game. But once you've won the game, you just kinda feel, well, empty. You've won. Grats, you achieved that one goal you actually had in your life in that brief moment. So now what? I mean, that short rush you got from winning the game and fountainfarming your opponent is already over, you got your +25 and you're back to your normal life again. Ok, well, that's alright then, but you don't really have anything to do right now, and it felt pretty damn good to win like that, so why not just play another round? And so you queue again. Now, this time your team doesn't communicate, but that's not all, you **** up at the start and feed first blood. Suddenly your jungle bloodseeker is flaming you for feeding. You reply to him to either tell him to go **** himself, or tell him that you couldn't really do anything about it, both which end up being of no use to either of you. So the game is going downhill, nobody is cooperating and, to cut a long story short, you end up losing, all while your team spams PLS REPORT <X> or REPORT <Y> FOR FEED at eachother. You suddenly feel like **** , because your opponents were pretty bad, and come on, you played perfectly that game, right? Your teammates was just **** . Why do you get such **** teammates? Anyways, feeling like **** AND being back to real life, you feel like double ***** , and you're also kind of angry because you just lost to a bunch of noobs. But that's alright, you'll just queue up for another game, which you'll obviously win instead. While this is happening, some dude tries to start a conversation with you, whom you just brush off, or outright tell to **** off, because you're in a pretty ****** mood and need to win another fight to make yourself feel better. So you get your next match. Really, this one isn't all too good either and you lose within 20 minutes. So you're really ******* mad now. But that's too bad, because it's 1 am and school starts again at 8-o'clock, so you have to go to bed if you wanna get up early. So you go to bed, mad as hell and think of dota and somehow end up dreaming of dota too. You go to school, still kinda mad that you lost like 50 matchmaking points . You don't really concentrate too hard on schoolwork because you've gotta get back as quickly as possible and get those points back. So after you're done with school, you go home, sit at your computer, open up dota 2 and it starts all over again.

Honestly, the best comparison i can make to dota 2 is having a syringe filled with a strange cloudy substance that could either be 200% pure columbian heroin or dissolved crackhead-smegma, that you keep injecting in hopes that you get the dank-ass heroin, while it somehow happens to be smegma 75% of the time. You're not doing it because the heroin makes you feel better, but because it, for just a brief moment, makes your life less **** .

It's a fun game when you stomp the trash talkers on the enemy team shouting insults at your in Spanish, Russian, or Portuguese.

To be honest, it's usually Spanish people for me or people, mostly, pretending to be Chinese/Japanese. I say mostly pretending because they usually don't have the worst pings and that's impossible. I think I've only run into... maybe two or three true Russians.

The rest are all Perus, or people who just speak Spanish for the sake of it. It's also sad because 9/10 times they're either complete jerks or feeders if they don't directly speak English. Usually both.

But that isn't to say the English speakers aren't bad too, but they're usually pretty up front and obvious.

They all seem to queue up for whatever gets them into the game faster. Despite that if they all queued up in their actual region, that they'd all have games to get into with just that. Granted, it'd be with just a shuffle of 100 people or so, but at least no one would misunderstand them.

A recent set of people I had to deal with was some Spanish peeps called Meepo and Rubick.

Meepo picked QoP and Rubick picked Shadow Fiend. It was a great insult right away.

Like 30 minutes in the game, we're about to turn around the game because we just won a team fight or something... and they suddenly start yelling at each other in Spanish in text. Qop kills all her items and tells the rest of the team "Say ty Sf" to which Sf responds with ".-."

Needless to say we lost that game pretty hard... and surprisingly those two were grouped together yet still fighting like that.

Those are the types of players I don't like to play with. (>' ')>

mmr system is ******* broken i have like 1400 matches like 750 wins an i am like 2.1k team and 1.8k solo.

When you start playing ranked you need to be lv 13 and you play as a TBD 10 matchest lets say you carry and win with 10 kills average and not too much deaths, you will end up like 3.5k -3.9k

In the mean while iam traped in a blackhole were ppl get in the game and dont know **** about their champion, they never look at minimap 0 map awareness, espect always the support to vuy ward, even if an invisible hero is ******* their asses they dont buy sentry.

You cant tell anything to anybody or they will go to the fountain and stay there even if it is ranked.

Tons of ppl trying new champions in ranked.

Even if you play carry and have like 30 kills, if you have a stupid teamate, just 1 is need to feed someone and you are ****** up.

Players dont know what to do in long games, or they play like its normal, just farming 40 min and never helping the lines, not even if the tower is getting wreck.

They always build the same only ofensive items and get killed like flys

Only winrate matters, so who gives a **** someone who has 1400 matches playing with someone who has 300 with the same mmr?

You are 20% of your team no matter what. That means that, yes, it can take 5 times longer to advance in rank than in other games, but with the quantity of games you have, that is not the issue. If you have played THAT many games and you are still at a low MMR, you deserve to be there. You are simply making excuses and being too stubborn to acknowledge the flaws in your play.

The concept of that 'MMR black hole' has been disproven time and time again by professional players picking up other people's accounts, going into solo queue, and power-levelling them to 5-6k in the course of a night or two. I'm not even a pro, I'm only 3.7k, and I played on my friend's 2k account for a few nights a couple months ago just to prove it to him. I won 9 consecutive games, playing everything from solo middle to hard 5 support.

You want to know the real reason your trapped at that level? Because you're blaming teammates, blaming the matchmaking, and blaming the game. You're making tons of excuses and looking at everything except your own gameplay, the one thing that actually matters.
