The IT Crowd is a ******* brilliant yet short lived British TV show. Only 24 episodes were ever made (plus later a 25th episode: an hour length finale of sorts).
It's based on these two nerd-ass nerds and their computer-illiterate coworker. It's kinda like what would happen if Big Bang Theory was actually a good show.
If you like Futurama and/or Rick and Morty, odds are that you'll like this one too. These three shows are kinda the Holy Trinity of nerd humor.
**slobiscuit used "*roll picture*"** **slobiscuit rolled image**Please refrain from mentioning me if you are going to post this ******** stupid ass, donkey **** , horse piss TV show.
**slobiscuit used "*roll picture*"** **slobiscuit rolled image**I feel ya. It's plain stupid. And the humour is matched to that of the Big Bang Theory. So there.
that doesn't make any sense because the people laughing in studio don't have that track to laugh with so the laughing is genuine therefore the comedy must be funny. Also I can vouch that the show is funny because I've watched it.
Fun fact about IT Crowd
> they have live audience
> every episode har one week rehearsal, started rehearsal on monday, have their preformance on fridays
> lots of the lines and actions are improvised
'hurr durr this rips off Big Bang and is ****** gey.'
1. This came first, admittedly they were going to run a US version side by side with this (thank Christ they didn't roight)
2. Like BBT this is funny, granted some eps are way better than others and 'hit & miss' will always occur with any show
3. If you can't find a single joke in ANY episode of this show... I-I-I'm just shocked. And tbh feck'n glad I don't know you.
Tip: don't take comedy too seriously... It's ultimately defeating the purpose of humour.
So I went to watch this on Netflix earlier and couldn't find it. When the stickied comment says it's on Netflix, does that mean it's available to US audiences? Seems odd that a British show would be unavailable in Britain.
Or alternatively, maybe I'm just that awful at using Netflix.
Update: Have begun streaming via sites that are not 4OD because I am not registering a profile with a site who doesn't allow adblock and forces ads every 5 minutes.
Anyway, congratulations to ugoboom on once again showing great taste in stuff and things.
I've never seen any actual video of this series, only the occasional picture or gif on here.
I never knew it was british, I always thought it was canadian.
I always pictured the black guy to have some sort of deep american black guy voice. I think that would have fit his face better than a nerdy british guy. And there's a laugh track. I don't hate laugh tracks because I pretty much grew up with them since every sitcom used to have one, but that's a bit jarring.
To be honest I cant remember this show being very popular , well it wasn't really where i'm from, but I ******* love the show , can't wait for more of these comps
Except IT crowd is funny with or without the audience laughter. Sure that's subjective but it could also be that you're too plebian to get the jokes in which case carry on about your day and may you be happy and entertained by your troglodytic shenanigans. It can't be for everyone.
I've heard good things about IT Crowd but never seen it and if this is meant to be funny it must have actually been pretty terrible. It is actually reminiscent of The Big Bang Theory and that isn't a good thing.
