DO YOU KNOW WHAT I JUST REALIZED
If there were hunters out there like Sam and Dean, or a secret
organization called Torchwood, or the Doctor showing up, or fairies or
wizards or or whatever;
the CINE thing that would keep it completely secret
is if someone wrote a book or made a TV show about it
because by doing an internet search, all that would show up
be the show or the book
and people will assume it' s fiction

When they were thinking of reviving Doctor Who in 2005 they used the codename Torchwood when talking about the project to keep it secret.

So yes it is.

Maybe I'm retarded but one thing I realized a couple days ago is that the word alphabet is just the first 2 letters of the Greek alphabet without the last 'a.'

This is a storyline in Supernatural. A few times.
#56 to #37 - John Cena (03/23/2013) [-]
No it isn't, they have books about them but that wasn't the point of them? do you even watch
User avatar #134 to #56 - kevandre (04/06/2013) [-]
Yessir. The books are about them, which people assume are fictional because they were written by GOD.

Then there was the episode where it was real and they turned into Jensen & Jared.

This has happened a few times ******

This reminded me of the episode of Supernatural, where Sam and Dead got into the "real" world, where they become Jensen Ackles and Jared Padalecki (the actual actors) and only they knew that they where Sam and Dean and not just some roles

I hope the SCP foundation really is fiction.
User avatar #110 to #65 - condormcninja (03/23/2013) [-]
There's a Foundation Tale about that. There's a huge containment breach, and the guy in charge of containing it just adds onto it, and it becomes the SCP website. So some of them are the ones this guy made up, but some of them are real.

I can't find the Tale, but here's one that's sorta similar, if you want.

That's awesome i shall find this tale and read it.

I did some looking and I couldn't find it. It probably has some retardedly obvious name anyway and I'm just dumb, but enjoy.

User avatar #75 to #65 - schneidend (03/23/2013) [-]
Considering SCP is a bunch of the most killable people in all of fiction barely containing dozens of world-ending horrors, I would agree.

First thing that comes to mind for me is a book series called Cherub by robert munchamore. It's about a British intelligence division that uses intelligent and capable child spies (10-18) to catch terrorists and criminals. One of the best things about it is that there is no fantasy or sci-fi elements about and it's quite believable. I can totally see them releasing the books as a precautionary measure or in response to a potential leak, it's not plausible but it's seriously plausible - the main character even jokes that selling books on Cherub would be a great way to make a quick buck.

Here's the link if anyone's interested http:// www .cherubcampus. com/

What was the last book like? I never got around to reading it
#96 to #58 - trevorswim (03/23/2013) [-]
Pretty good in itself but really good as the ending to James' adventures. All through the series we see cherub doing stuff that's kinda iffy but at the end of the day the good far outweighs the bad (except for that one time) both in a big picture and small picture sense. In shadow wave that's not the case and we get to see James and Co. working without Cherub's support.

Really nice ending to the series b/c it's clear that James' life as a Cherub agent is over

Stargate SG-1 did about 4 episodes on this concept.

On a slightly related note:
1.)Doctor Who
2.)Stargate SG-1
3.)Star Trek: Next Generation

Doctor Who and SG-1 are tied for me, but I had to pick, and Doctor who is still running where SG-1 is not.

stargate sg-1's movie about itself was funny, related note, in supernatural god has a prophet write a book about what sam and dean do and sell them as a book series

Now, see I didn't know that. I have been meaning to watch Supernatural for a while, but just haven't gotten around to it.

Please
1)Star Trek: Voyager
2)Star Trek: Deep Space Nine
3)Doctor Who

I only liked it because my mom was a trekky and didnt "believe" in cable and all she let me watch was Voyager, ds9, and enterprise
User avatar #5 to #4 - iamkagji (03/23/2013) [-]
I haven't actually watched Enterprise. I got into Star Trek when I was 15, about 2 years after I got into Stargate and a year before I got into Doctor who. I actually have some airsoft P90's and the full uniform because of SG-1.

awesome she had a couple stargate movies but my dad was into stargate but didn't watch it that much

It is one of the few series where can honestly say that the TV shows are better than the movies they are based off of.
User avatar #8 to #7 - Blarge **User deleted account** (03/23/2013) [-]
i may have to start watching stargate
User avatar #9 to #8 - iamkagji (03/23/2013) [-]
Yep. I didn't even know it was a originally movie until a year after I started watching it.
