Do you think that Rory's 3rd death in "The Angels take Manhattan" was yet another "Rory's death scene" from which he will somehow manage to come back stronger?

If this is true, then what a twist!

But, a few flaws.. SPOILERS HERE

1/ I can't remember so I need someone to confirm, when Rory first meets or hears about the doctor, how does he act?
Because the doctor and the master grew up together.

2/ Why does the master want to take over everything and why does the doctor want to stop him?

3a/ How is it that david tennant meets and stops the master when the master looks older? Why go back in time to do his evil?

3b/ How did he go back in time?

4a/ River is half time lord, she is the child of rory and amy, amy is human, rory has to be timelord then; Are there any signs of Rory being able to read or understand Gallifreyan?

4b/ If Rory is timelord, he has to have 2 hearts. Why hasn't the doctor noticed this with his checks when he got hurt? Or as when Amy is pregnant, by using the tardis

Long post short: I overthink.

Actually, Rory isn't a Time Lord. It's explained in 'A Good Man Goes to War' that River being a Time Lord has something to do with her being conceived on the TARDIS, as well as the fact that Amy spends so much time on the TARDIS. It's an interesting theory, but I don't see it working for several reasons.

What about the whole watch thing. Maybe rory has used the watch already, making him human. But when the master used the watch, he was still a genius. Rory really isn't.

1) www.youtube.com/watch?v=TDKW8gMhAvU First Rory-Doctor encounter. Judge for yourself.

2) No Idea. I think I'll go watch some classic who to get some background on The Master and then I'll try to answer again.

3a/ You're assuming that time is a strict progression from cause to effect. Actually, from a non-linear, non-subjective point of view, it's more like a big ball full of wibbly-wobbly timey-wimey stuff.

3b/ Using a TARDIS (maybe not the Doctor's TARDIS) or a Vortex Manipulator.

4a/ No. What's more, in "a good man goes to war" Rory can't read Gallifreyan (maybe he's using a fob watch like Tennant did in "Human Nature" and forgot all his "timelord stuff".

4b/ When the Doctor hides as a human ("Human Nature", season 3 episode 8) he only has one heart.

Overthinking is not bad. I prefer people who contradict me with solid arguments than people who say "yes" or "no" to any fanmade theory.

I hate all the seasons equally. Summer's too hot, Winter's too cold, Spring makes me sneeze and autumn just rains too much.

I guess that's a matter of taste. However, it looks like my taste (using T-Shirts in winter to feel the cold wind) is not shared by the majority of people.

2) A LOT of this was explained in David Tennant's final episode, the season finale. Council Leader Rassilon made The Master insane, gave him the drumming and everything so they'd have a link outside of the time lock, a link that they could then use to escape the time lock. The Doctor wants to stop The Master because well, The Doctor is good, and The Master is insane/evil.

3a) The Master erased his memories and kept them in a fob watch, similar to what The Doctor did. The Master did that for some time and hid as Doctor Yana, some time in the future, and grew old because he was human while his stuff was stored in the watch. When he "died" as the old man, he regenerated, and stole the TARDIS, however The Doctor put a lock on the TARDIS so The Master could only go between The End of Time, and the last place they visitied, Modern Day England.

3b) ^^ That's how he went back in time.

4a) Rory doesn't HAVE to be Time Lord. I'm sure time energies from the TARDIS would be able to seep into Amy over time, heavily effecting the baby that's born, making it part time lord.

4b) Pretty much what he said. A fob watch is a very powerful thing. It stores all of your time lord energies, powers, knowledge, etc, and lets you take on a human persona, and even gets rid of the second heart. The Doctor and The Master have both done this in the past, The Master when he hid at The End of Time as Doctor Yana.

Out of every villain, every conflict, I have ALWAYS loved The Doctor and The Master's fights the most, especially with John Simms, the previous Master that we saw go against Tennant. The Master will always be my favorite villain, with Simms as my favorite Master, and Tennant as my favorite doctor (I have seen some of the previous doctors and masters, from the oooold series).

2) Good idea, I'll join you

3a) I could have seen that coming..

And for point 1, 3b, 4a and 4b.. Well I'll just continue thinking it's somehow part of the master's new masterplan :D
Perhaps we shall see the birth of his 'evil' side..

Thank you for sharing this theory, now my so called brain has something to think about again.

Yea but when Amy got stuck in that time room thing there was a plague that affected everyone with 2 hearts. So he would have died

In "Human Nature", the Doctor only has one heart while he hides as "Mr. John Smith". So maybe (in the remote case that Rory isn't human) he's using a similar trick and has a fob watch hidden somewhere.

Well wouldn't his body stay host to that disease, and when he reverts he is affected by it? I may be over thinking things as well

Could be, we never saw the "one-hearted Doctor" nor the "one-hearted Master" catch a timelord's disease.

And, as I said, overthinking is better than "underthinking", even if your overthinking proves me wrong.

Spoilers (for some)
Yeah, except Rory is supposedly gone, along with Amy, and now they're off with that whole "who is Clara Oswin Oswald?" Thing, which... feels a bit wrong to me after that River bit... but I digress...

Also, i'd like to point out the master having not regenerated... of course they've ****** over details like that before so...

maybe?

I know that the series are old (and by old I mean exactly 50 years, more than twice my age) and that I'm missing a lot of background because I haven't seen the classic series (right now I'm still at Hartnell's first episodes, I just started this week), and I know I have a lot to learn. There's no need to be so rude, man. There's a lot of people who got into Doctor Who because of the modern series.

I clicked the link thinking it would be some stupid theory. I don't think it's the case, but it has a VERY compelling argument.

The part about him being dead a lot is kind of a moot point unless he regenerates as himself, which, ya know, doesn't happen. The other bits are compelling though and I wonder if this will play out in any meaningful way, I doubt it though.

From what I can keep track of, this is all I know, and I"m probably wrong.

As The Doctor gets older, each time he meets River Song, she's actually younger, due to time travel ****.
