Oh for ****** sake, I can't be the only person on this site that thinks Doctor Who has gone to absolute **** ?
Why, you ask? Oh, I'll tell you why:
-Pretty much every week, the enemy is now defeated by the Doctor appealing to its better nature.
-Clara is a stuck up, irritating cunt that is ridiculously attractive (I can't deny that. But no amount of hotness will make me want to punch her any less.)
-They re-use old enemies all the ******* time. What's on this week? Oh, Cybermen. Oh damn, why didn't the writers think of that before OH WAIT. (The angels, too. All the ******* time. The first episode with them in was ******* perfect. Then they decided they wouldn't come up with anything better, and they KEEP COMING BACK.
-The story line is either patronisingly simple, or frustratingly complicated. I bet when all is revealed about Clara, it'll just be like "...da **** even just happened?"
Ok, I try and give it chances, I even struggled through the weird-ass episode that was on last week, but I CAN'T. I'M ******* DONE.
Sorry for the rant. I needed to grieve for the loss of such an awesome show.

I don't want to admit that Doctor Who has gone to **** because I grew up watching it and I always loved it. Matt Smith is an amazing doctor and a decent actor but the writing has gone to **** .

Everything has a ridiculous explanation behind it and the episodes are simplified to the extent where there the problems usually solve themselves, or the Doctor points his sonic screwdriver at the mystery and it goes away. Not to mention the cringe worthy jokes that bear a resemblance to a twelve year old boy shouting "I like pie!" because he's edgy and random.

I can picture how this 50th anniversary will go down. The Doctor's name will be revealed to be something as stupid as Stormageddon; an un-namely name similar to the name of your first MMO character when you were twelve.
Clara: "Doctor! What's your name?"
*Dramatic turn*
Doctor: "I like pie!"
Cue hoards of British teenagers collectively howling in sheer, unbridled hilarity as tears roll down their cheeks. One man points, unable to breathe, at the television screen, wheezing the words "I like pie" as he tearfully mimics the Doctor.

England's face when the Doctor Who 50th anniversary measures as a .8 quake on the Richter Scale. (Also, Clara is exactly the same as Amy Pond. What's up with that?)

I don't watch the new Dr. Who anymore. Why? The writers are now **** . At first, I was like "God Damn it Matt Smith you ****** it up!" but then I watched a few more, and he's a good Doctor, but it's the writing of the episodes that **** it up. I miss David Tennant, he was a good Doctor as well, and at least then the writing wasn't **** . They had new ideas instead of bringing back old enemies.

TL;DR
Matt Smith is a good Doctor, it's just that the writers are not what they were with David Tennant.

Is NOONE going to discuss how the doctor kissed a lesbian!?! A LESBIAN!
he didn't like kissing Amy Pond the ******* Stripper but BAM side character lesbian who probably doesn't bathe due to Victorian era and he acts like a hungry ******* hippo playing tonsil hockey on a wet day with a raging hard-on for doing something he would get pepper sprayed for if it was invented.

I'm starting to move away from Doctor Who. I have to agree with everyone else who has said it. The writing is getting mediocre, Clara is no different from Amy or Rose, there's not as much innovation, it's a bit embarrassing. I'm going to stick with it, but i'm moving closer towards Orphan Black.

you know how everyone in the comments is talking about how they don't like doctor who anymore? I'll let you in on a secret: doctor who isn't any different than it always was, it's just that doctor who is more popular and mainstream now and people can't stand that they aren't special for watching it anymore. if you like a show, fine. but this is a blatant turning of the tides from a significant group that just watch stuff to be part of the hip crowd. I see into your disingenuous heart of darkness, thumb me down all you want.

Thats not a plot twist, we already knew she was a crime-fighting, lizard detective with a kick-ass, cockney girlfriend... I love Doctor Who

Ok, my turn to rant. I thought season 5 had its moments, season 6 also (The Doctor's Wife has become my favorite episode), and the first half of season 7 was also respectable with Amy and Rory. I think as a whole the series peaked at Season 3, but it can still be good with Matt Smith. He's funny, charismatic, and while no David Tennant, he can deliver a line well and I can believe he IS the doctor. This new half of season 7 though feels sloppy, and much poorer. Neil Gaiman managed to save what little respect I had for this half with the Cyberman episode, but it's not enough. I think Steven Moffat has focused too much time on Sherlock, and Doctor Who has suffered as a result. They're trying too hard to appeal to young children with the cheesy lines, quirks, and corny lines (more than usually tolerable at least), and not on the actual STORY or PLOT. I mean, come on. Giant talking spoons? Talking down a destructive villain? No, that doesn't work! Maybe on one occasion. Maybe. But one episode after another as a solution is just stupid. The doctor offers them a chance, they refuse, he takes them down. That's what is supposed to happen, that's how it is in real life. The new companion is somewhat obnoxious, in that she is so chipper and too cutesy to be taken seriously, rather hot and in charge like Amy. I liked her in the first episode of season 7, but that's it. I wish they kept THAT version of Clara/Oswin/Whatever. And I'm FUMING over the fact that they STILL haven't answered all the past questions that they've set up (the questions all whovians are asking) like: Who the **** said "Silence will fall" in season 5? What the **** is with the organization the silence? I respect Steffan Moffat and Matt Smith, but if they don't fix these problems with the series, idk what to think, I really...just don't know...gif related.
