Started watching Dr. Who recently. I'm near the end of the 1st season and to be honest Im scared because I like the 1st Season Doctor but not sure about how the show will be without him and whether his fill-in can truly make up for him.

Christopher Eccleston wasn't a very good Doctor, but he's not the worst. I can't say who the worst is though, because I haven't seen all of the Doctors in action. David Tennant is the Best though, with Matt Smith in Second Place.

Yes, Chris Eccleston didn't really have much time to develop as the Doctor. David Tennant is really funny, and a great actor. The hardest transtion is going to be from Tennant to Matt Smith, I'm still not fully over it.

Cherish the episodes that Tennant is in. It was one of the saddest moments in the whole series when Matt Smith takes over.

He wanted to step down because if he didn't when he did, he said that he would probably never leave. He also said that he didn't want people to become bored of him being the doctor.
