I didn't at first, but after a few episodes learned to love it.

Personally, the show doesn't catch my interest. The only show that really can is the Walking Dead, but not for the right reasons.

I'm not threatening him, I'm giving him an example of something that I don't do that I appreciate people not doing. I'm saying that I'm glad that people don't show up every time I'm trying to enjoy an activity and tell me "I don't enjoy this activity." It really isn't pertinent, and I just don't care. I just want to enjoy the activity and commiserate with other people who do, not listen to the percentage of the world's population who don't enjoy it tell me about their lack of enjoyment.

Imagine if you will that you enjoy playing tennis. You're online, browsing a selection of tennis rackets trying to decide which one you want to get when suddenly a pop-up appears with a message from someone else on the website that says "You know, I don't enjoy tennis." I'm saying the situation is analogous, and that I like being able to go about my business without that happening. Because I try to treat others as I want to be treated, I don't walk up to people I don't know who are watching a football game on TV and declare "You know, I don't enjoy football."

I'm also not sure how you took that I was "threatening" him. Did you think I was giving him an ultimatum? That if he didn't change his stance, I would go around saying "You know, I don't like this" with the hope that I'd find something that he liked and that he'd see that I didn't like it? No, that's stupid. I was just trying to convey how rude I think it is to greet strangers with disapproval of their interests.

This is a community site, which means we have no control over what we see on this site, the community decides that, unlike sports channels, where you know exactly what you're watching because each sport is classified by their abbreviations.

Personally, I'm sick and fuckin tired of seeing Doctor Who everywhere, honestly, it's getting old... and if you want to talk about Doctor Who without the risk of haters, why not go to a Doctor Who board and talk about it there instead of going to a community site and expecting everyone to follow the guidelines your over-sensitive ass set?

Well, shit. Maybe calm down a bit. There's no need to be upset. Do you get like this over the bronies and Pokemon people? What about Katawa Shoujo? If you can honestly say that you do, then I'll admit that you aren't being biased, that I'm wrong, and you're right. But if you can tolerate any of them without getting this upset, then I submit to you that you are being highly hypocritical.

I personally don't enjoy the Katawa Shoujo posts or the Ponytime posts, but I don't get upset about them. I just move on. I put up with them so that I can look at posts that I DO enjoy, such as Doctor Who posts (although this one sucked) or just generally funny posts. I deal with the bad so that I can have the good, just like a rational, sane human being does in the real world. If it really upsets you this much, then I'd suggest that maybe you're on the wrong site. This website is an unfiltered dump for all things amusing, whether that be for a general audience or a "fandom", as it were. You deal with the stuff you don't like (deal as in thumb down and move on) so that you can enjoy the stuff you do.

My hate for bandwagons depend on how popular they are.

The more popular they are, the more I hate them.

Unless they're the Walking Dead. It'd be impossible for me to hate that.

I also enjoy The Walking Dead. But I submit to you that that's how I feel about Doctor Who. I also submit to you that there is someone out there who HATES The Walking Dead and feels about that "bandwagon" as you do about the Doctor Who "bandwagon". They feel the same about walkingdeadtime posts as you do about doctor-who posts. Yet, even knowing that, doesn't it make you happy when you see a post about The Walking Dead on FunnyJunk?

I am fully aware that there are people who do not enjoy the show on this site, so I would usually go on 4chan and start a board on the Walking Dead after every episode.

Fair enough, I suppose. But it is my understanding of the paradigm of this site as it has evolved that segments of the whole of popular culture will seep in and take up huge chunks of the content. Maybe that's a consequence of the channels system, but in any case, it's true. The front page is evidence enough, I should think. If so, then I should expect that when I come on this site, there will be PLENTY of content that I do not enjoy, such as the massive amount of Katawa Shoujo posts lately, but I still come because I mostly enjoy the experience, disregarding the fleeting seconds of content that I don't like as I skip by it. Now, we've deviated largely from the initial source of this debate, so I'm entirely sure how best to end it, but I'd just like to say that if you expect your own sources of entertainment to remain untainted by the discouragement of nay-sayers, you must in turn avoid discouraging others from pursuing their own enjoyment, whether by directly attacking the source itself or simply by miring the discussions of said source with such useless prattle as "You know, I don't enjoy the things you all enjoy." Think of it as a good-faith payment, as dictated by the Golden Rule of old. Good day, sir or madam.
