I do think the first episode wasnt great but once it starts developing the characters more, it gets a LOT better. just give it another episode or two

A bit. I got through most of Season 1 high as balls, and it helped.

It gets better with David Tennant, the 10th doctor. Guy in OP's picture. I think he comes in season 3.

I doesn't really return to its consistent greatness until rose is out of the picture, but there are some shining, great moments before hand too.

Really im a few episodes into the 3rd season and not really enjoying it. I was a huge fan of rose don't want any spoilers but I was hoping she would return. Also I like Christopher Eccleston better than Tennant.

once moffat takes over as writer, youll note a distinct difference in the direction the episodes take. thats when it gets really adventurous.

the show gets really good at about 4 or so episodes into eason 1, which is where youre at. rose is a pretty shitty companion as much as people claim to love her the show gets much MUCH better once shes out of the way. around the time of martha jones, donna noble and the ponds. the show is great after the end of season 1 though, thats when david tennant comes into play
